Bed was super large and the shower was also big and powerful. Loved meeting Oscar who is just adorable, though owning a Shih Tzu myself I may be a little biased. If I ever stay in Whakatane again, this will be my first choice."

"This place is amazing - so much to like. The view is straight across from the beach - we booked a 2nd floor room with a view and balcony. The kitchen is well equipped with all you need to stay (we stayed 3 nights). Unit was self contained so we had enough towels, tea towels etc to see us through - perfect! We cooked in the oven and the microwave - no issues at all. Free coffee/tea etc saw us through the whole 3 days. The balcony had beautiful comfy couch and 2 single chairs, coffee table...
