“The Marina Mahal is a great value option close to the centre of Jaisalmer. Akbar and Marina are a delightful Indian/New Zealand couple who are extremely hospitable and who do everything to make your stay memorable. They can arrange a brilliant trip into the desert. The vegetarian food in the rooftop restaurant is excellent and the views are stunning. Rooms are comfortable with AC, reliable hot water and free WiFi and the whole place exudes local atmosphere. Highly recommended!”

Abbiamo anche cenato sulla terrazza dell’hotel con vista del forte prendendo un pollo al limone non piccante perfetto dopo tanti giorni di cucina speziata. Anche la pulizia è ai livelli europei, una rarità in India. Unica pecca la stradina per arrivarci ma siamo in India e le strade sono queste. ”

“It was simply an A+ experience. From the time we checked in to the time we checked-out of the hotel. The hotel staff was courteous and prompt. Cleanliness of the property is outstanding. We were there for Christmas eve and so there were a lot of enjoyable activities planned for the guests. Even the royal family (who lives in the private parts of the property) joined in the festivities. We rented the heritage rooms where we got the feel of living as royals in a haveli.
