"We had a lovely stay in this rustic Cape Breton cottage! The building itself is quite old, and shows its character. It was good for three people, but would be tight for a family or larger group. There's no direct beach access, but it's a 2 minute drive away (or less), and the water was beautiful. Note that any major shopping or necessities will have to be gotten in Sydney, about half an hour away, so plan for that. We appreciated Laura's communication throughout our stay, and the very detailed...

The house came fully equipped, except fans because of no air and a regular coffee maker, but we made it work..We would of enjoyed the outdoors more but Mother nature had other plans. "This was a great adventure. It might not be for everyone but it sure was for us. There is a bit of a hike to the yurt, which made for a peaceful and secluded stay. Andrea and Clay greeted us and showed us around the place which was beautiful. There is a river right out the door that we swam in, and the yurt was so cozy inside."

"Great place and location. Included golf was excellent. Hard to just go for a walk from the property as it was a busy road but in town for walk wasn’t far to drive. Baddeck had everything you needed and the whole Cabot Trail was there to explore as well. Unfortunate that we had Hurricane Lee come through and the weather was not stellar but made the most of it and it could have been much worse if we were in the direct Hurricane path."

"Over the top doesn't begin to rate this property....everything we expected and soooo much more! Our hosts were VERY accommodating. We will DEFINITELY be coming back next year. A 5 out 0f 5 rating is a bit low in our books....I prefer to rate as I TRULY see things. This was a belated birthday present from me to m foe my 68th . "It’s a cute standalone house with paved parking. Golf course is within walking distance of house and other properties and has a paved walkway so it makes for a nice walk if not golfing. Infloor heating made upstairs toasty warm. Small electric stove on main floor but we didn’t use it. Two full baths - one on main floor, other on second floor. Well stocked with towels, face cloths. Both bedrooms are upstairs. Property is well lit at night so you can’t miss it driving by. "
