“Honestly, I've had better stays at Motel 6. The staff were mostly indifferent about any of my requests. The room and facilities simply didn't measure up to the cost. The room was small - hardly room to open one suitcase, let alone two. No soap, or body wash dispenser in the shower. The only option was to drop the tiny hotel bar of soap on the floor, then hope you didn't kill yourself picking it up again. No Kleenex either. Yes, it's a small thing but at the price they charge... And the hotel is……

“We stayed in Castillo for 5 days and we like it a lot. There was a good combination of medieval castle vibe and modern comfort. Although we’re mostly driving around exploring vineyards and small towns, we enjoyed the Castillo property, swimming pool and beautiful nature.”

“Our host Francesco was wonderful. Showed us our room in a restored 1840s building in their vineyard, and explained local things to see and do. The spacious rooom had log ceilings and a four poster bed. Had a free breakfast at Francesco's mothers cafe just around the corner. Early in the season so the pool wasn't open yet. Fantastic place to stay. Make sure you contact Francesco by phone before you arrive so he can meet you at checkin. His # is in the check in instructions. ”

“Loved this boutique property. Stayed five nights in the newer section, Le Noci, and would love to go back. The staff were all excellent, friendly and helpful. The pool was stunning. The room was large, comfy, and quiet. Breakfast was delicious and eating on the outside terrace was wonderful as the view was incredible. The only downside was the restaurant over at the older section. Would not recommend as the waitress was rude/pushy (made the evening uncomfortable) and the food was just okay.……

“La chambre était jolie en soi, mais donnait sur un parking, quand j'aurais espéré quelque chose de plus rural - "c'est la chambre que vous avez réservée", a juste dit la dame de l'accueil quand j'ai fait la moue. Un peu au-dessus des cuisines du café, aussi. Bref, un peu déçu, d'autant que les horaires sont contraignants (pour le check-in, la dégustation, le café, le jardin...), ce qui rend le séjour moins relax - et le restaurant, certes pas mauvais, se la joue un peu.”
