(4BR, 3.5 BA,1K / 2Q / 2T, Sleeps 8, 2 Golf Carts, Pet Friendly, Saturday Turn in Peak Season, CHECK OUT 10:30AM / CHECK IN 4:30PM) A Soft Landing is a fantastic four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom oceanfront retreat that's dog friendly! (Dogs allowed for an additional $300/dog nonrefundable pet fee.) Revel in A Soft Landing's warm breezes, listening to the sounds of the waves and soaking in unobstructed ocean views. The sun worshippers in your group will be in heaven on the expansive second-story deck that runs the length of the house. Under this area are both a covered porch (perfect for rocking or napping) and a screened porch. Inside, the light-filled, two-story sitting area is accentuated by soaring ceilings and warm hardwoods.
Nearby, the open floorplan's dining area comfortably seats eight at its table and is adjacent to the breakfast bar. Just beyond, the chef's kitchen cooks with stainless appliances, plenty of counter prep space, a farm sink and a wine cooler. It even boasts water views on two sides! The bright King Master suite, located on this level, features a four-poster King bed and private porch access as well as an unbeatable view of the Atlantic. The private full bath affords a deep, jetted sunken Jacuzzi and a spacious tiled shower with bench seating.
There are three additional bedrooms upstairs. One is a Queen suite with its own full bath, private sitting room and deck access. The second Queen bedroom also features private deck access. The final bedroom is furnished with two twin beds. The latter two bedrooms share a bath, conveniently located just across the hall. Additional amenities included are games, DVDs/ CDs / VHS movies, toys, a gas grill, an outdoor shower, boogie boards, beach chairs, adult bikes, internet access and WWP's 24/7 Property Manager Assistance Line-which means you can reach needed help even after hours or on weekends. . Very nice property, had a golf cart issue but that was quickly handled. Love the views, location, and pretty much everything about the house!
I’ve used WWP’s on occasion for many years, always great customer service.

Sunrises, sunsets, dolphins frolicking in the sea...what a perfect place to be! Three nights wasn't enough at A Soft Landing. The house is amazing and makes you feel comfortable and welcome. Renting through Wendy was a breeze and the staff is very friendly and helpful.

This home is located on a perfect spot on the island. Overall, it is well decorated and furnished. The home just needs some maintenance. Things are broken, paint is peeling, mold, etc. Nothing that will stop you from having a good vacation, but it sort of takes away from the overall experience.

Great beach location but the house is clearly the victim of a lot of rentals, not a lot of care. Kitchen needs to be blown up and re-done. Layout has a lot of wasted space and illogical flow. Dirty, that is all I can say.

I loved everything about the house! Open, light and bright and conveniently located! I spent ten days there and had 5 adult family members stay for the wedding weekend. Plenty of room for everyone. The bridal party came for hair and make up and got dressed there too with plenty of space for everyone! Loved the speakers in every room and on porch and deck too!

perfect...except..a few things in the house weren't up to par. Fireplace didn't work. Light fixture broken, hole in the ceiling. lamp shade didn't fit over bulb in another room. sink dripped all day and night in bedroom. told beds were queen and they are double..too small.

Disappointment at Thunder Road

Location of property is excellent and the property manager was responsive and helpful. The problem with this property is lack of investment by owners. The two golf carts had problems. On one, the motor was shot and the other had electrical problems that caused the lights to work only occasionally--a real problem at night. The property manager quickly gave us one of their carts, but that should not have been necessary. There is no comfortable outdoor furniture and the condition of what's there makes it unusable. Beautiful view, no where to sit. Dishwasher appears shot and took two runs to get things clean. We would never rent this house again.

Fabulous House, Bad Timing

The house is just great and had some of the nicest furniture, linens and baby gear. Unfortuneately we happened to hit it at a week when several of the appliances gave out- dishwasher, dryer, golf cart, grill. We were compensated a bit and it was no one's fault, so I do understand. Some things happened while we were there, but some were pre-existing conditions and it would have been more professional to tell us upon check-in versus leaving us to find the dryer not working after washing our clothes and then not knowing what to do with them. Still a great house and a great time!

We loved Thunder Road! Fall is a great time to visit the island...we felt like we had the beach to ourselves! This was a beautiful home with a large open gathering area.
