130 Shore Road - Rangeley Lake with dock and pet friendly
6/10 Okay
"My mom and I stayed at 130 Shore Rd for February school Vacation. Nice location on the lake close to oquossoc if you are visiting to snowmobile. Closed floor plan so it was difficult for us with our dogs. When we arrived there was no heating oil and the house was 50 degrees, M&F got someone out quick to fix that issue. Front sitting room overlooking the water is not connected to the house heating system and guests are not allowed to use the larger heater in that room so we had to rely on two smaller space heaters to heat the room daily. Two larger bedrooms were nice, upstairs floors very creaky whenever you move so hard for anyone who has to get up in the night to use the restroom. Doors did not stay closed, and there was an infestation of ladybugs. Seemed to us as it would be better served as a summer rental."
"A group of us stayed for the weekend for an ice racing event Mooselookmeguntic. Place was clean and had just what we needed as "home base" for the weekend."
Poet's Lodge - Rustic 4 bedroom cabin on the shores of Mooselookmeguntic Lake
8/10 Good
"The best feature of Poet's Lodge is its wonderful location on the lake with easy access to the beach and water. It is a simple slope from the house to the beach with wonderful sand and gentle slope in the water. The second best feature is its screened porch. We had a puppy and this screened in porch was a great place for her to hang out and watch the world. We ate all our meals outdoors on the porch without any mosquitos or flies.
The house is dated with a museum quality stove. That did not bother us. The shower was terrific and the kitchen adequate. We would, however, recommend that the mattress in the master bedroom be replaced and the wooden adirondack chairs, or better quality adirondack chairs be added to the porch as the plastic ones were difficult to sit in.
We very much enjoyed staying in the Poet's Lodge and would consider staying there again."
Haines Landing - 7 Spruce Street - shared waterfront on Mooselook
10/10 Excellent
"My daughter and I enjoyed our week in this well-appointed log cabin. The weather did not cooperate (during our week in mid-August); the cabin has no A/C and was too hot for sleeping when it was 90 degrees in daytime. It takes a long time for those logs to release heat. We enjoyed hiking in the area (Bald Mt, Coos Canyon, Cascade Falls, Piazza Rock etc.). The cabin overlooks beautiful Mooselookmeguntic Lake. If you love kayaking, canoeing, sailing, or power boating (or fishing), this is the place for you. While not the best time of year for wildlife sightings, we saw moose feeding in a lake, an ermine, and heard many loons.
I strongly recommend this property in fall. Sep/Oct should be perfect. The cabin has a propane gas fireplace and lovely living room sitting area and front porch. There are some good restaurants just down the road in Rangeley."
Summers - Large classic cottage with sandy beach on Mooselookmeguntic Lake
10/10 Excellent
"Probably our favorite place to date. Beautiful surroundings the beach was amazing. Loved everything about it. And your company was so kind and thoughtful and saw to every detail. The one negative was the really not nice , rude, grumpy neighbor😂. We all loved it"
🐾Helidoni Camps - Charming vacation retreat located in Mooselookmeguntic Lakes Bugle Cove
8/10 Good
"We absolutely loved our stay here! The cabins are well stocked (the most well stocked kitchen I’ve ever seen to be honest) and comfortable. The management company that manages this home is quick to respond and incredibly kind and helpful. We had a couple of hiccups over our first and second day (it seemed like maybe we were the first guests this season so a few items needed to be opened up a bit) and they were SO quick to send someone over, they had after hours support too and checked in frequently. The location on the lake is so quiet but only a 8 minute drive to the OG grocery store and 15 minutes from downtown Rangeley. The deck was amazing, the complimentary paddle boards were great and we had an amazing time. Already looking forward to coming back next year. "
