Great place. Peaceful and spacious. My family and I enjoyed this home. Highly recommended to anyone who decides to stay in the Ojochal area of Costa Rica. Beautiful beaches nearby, the sound of ocean waves ricocheting up the mountain and the morning birds are a natural alarm that you wake up too.

We definitely made the right choice when selecting this property for our stay! The property is great, private and secure. The house is very nice, clean, has amazing views and it’s super comfy and spacious. It has everything that is needed for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. Well stocked and very complete with A/C in the bedrooms which helped us relax and rest comfortably at night. The pool is always clean and very inviting. We definitely recommend this property to anyone traveling to this area in Costa Rica. Not only because it’s beautiful, but also because it’s in a great location with prompt access to great beaches, close by towns, delicious restaurants and fun activities. We really enjoyed experiencing the dense nature and getting to see the white face monkeys playing in the trees located in the back/side of the house. The host and management were very attentive, prompt to answer texts and calls. They were also very sweet to help us making it extra special for our daughter by decorating with a happy birthday banner and balloons prior to our arrival. My whole family was delighted with the house and enjoyed every minute of it. Our stay was so nice that we hope to go back some day in the future and stay here again. Great host and Amazing house! Definitely, Pura Vida!

Costa Rican Paradise

The house is great. Prime location for the area. Sonya and Jan were very helpful and responsive. There was an internet outage in the area which wasn’t their fault, but they communicated with us promptly. Highly recommended.

Perfect setting for Costa Rican bliss

This is a truly beautiful home in a stellar location. The view will blow you away. The house is well-equipped and very comfortable. The road to the house is well-maintained and makes for easy access. 2WD seems reasonable in dry season, but I would imagine 4WD is key if it rains. The property owner and management team are all very responsive and helpful.

Es importante que los huéspedes sepan que la propiedad se encuentra en una zona muy boscosa y natural, por lo que eventos naturales inesperados pueden suceder como la caída de árboles en el camino a la casa o desconexión eléctrica temporal, pero hay que tomarlo como parte de una aventura integral. La propiedad es espectacular, cumple lo que promete y en efecto quedamos muy satisfechos con nuestra estadía. El día de nuestro check-in por poco el anfitrión nos cancela por caída de unos árboles que bloquearon el camino pero por suerte en Costa Rica las cuadrillas de trabajos públicos reaccionan algo rápido y ese mismo día todo quedó parcialmente resuelto y pudimos ingresar a la propiedad. Hubo que esperar unas horas por el servicio eléctrico pero lo básico de la propiedad siempre funcionó bien ya que hay sistemas de emergencia que funcionan muy bien. La piscina espectacular y los aires acondicionados funcionan perfectamente Felicitaciones a Alan el dueño. Quedamos a la espera que VRBO nos reintegre el depósito de garantía ya que dicho monto por parte de VRBO debió ser una retención y no un cargo, por lo que quedo a la espera del reintegro al medio donde se generó el cargo. Nos queda la agradable sensación de volver a la propiedad y disfrutar de su tranquilidad, paz y buen gusto. Saludos cordiales, Javier y Angie

A Beautiful Property

A very beautiful and well maintained home with a view of the Pacific Ocean. The property manager lives a short distance from the house and was quick to respond to the few complaints we had. This home is a bit on the remote side and internet service was intermittent during the day, but as long as you're not planning on doing a lot of work form home it shouldn't be an issue. Several nice restaurants and things to do within a short drive.

We absolutely loved the eight days we spent at this incredible house. Our hosts were very welcoming and met us when we arrived. I had a few questions while we were there and got responses almost instantly.The house was spotless. There wasn't anything that we needed that they didn't have. The pool was fantastic. There wasn't a single day that we didn't swim or chill in the pool. We enjoyed seeing the toucans and other local birds that came around every morning and evening. We even had a coati come visit a couple of the days. One evening we could see howler monkeys in a tree down below the house. Not only was the house great, but the entire area was wonderful. The people were friendly and welcoming. If you're an animal lover, I suggest a tour of Hacienda Baru, which is about 20 minutes away. We used Freddy Cascante. It was our favorite activity for the two weeks we spent in Costa Rica.We wouldn't hesitate to come back to this beautiful property. It's easy to feel the pura vida spirit here.

Overall wonderful stay for 5 weeks - a terrific house in a great situation. Being somewhat elevated (250-300metres), there was lovely cool air movement and we did not need to use the aircon despite hot temperatures down at the coast. The organisation was perfect - great communication from the host Alan and efficient and helpful connection with management team, A bit more detail in the setting up would have been helpful - there were some crafty inner drawers in the the kitchen units, which contained all sorts of useful gadgets - but we did not discover them until late in our stay. A bit of warning when the gardening team were coming would have been helpful as they spent a morning with all the machinery for cutting grass etc making a lot of noise - which we would have escaped with notice.The household equipment was mainly very good although the ice making part of the freezer did not work and the dishwasher should be anchored more firmly so it does not tip forward when the full drawers are pulled out.The swimming pool is magical, beautifully maintained and a great size. The gardens are one of the more disappointing aspects - very steeply sloping and too difficult to stroll around in but very picturesque. The sense of security was great and we felt wonderfully safe and secure. We would give this house and team the strongest recommendation and would be very glad to return in the future.

SIMPLY AMAZING

This home is amazing. Breathtaking views. Very spacious even though it was just my husband and I. The home had Everything I needed to cook our meals plus some. We stayed 5 days in total and honestly didn't want to leave. This was our first time in Costa Rica and loved it so much that we toured a lot to build our own home on. We close into weeks. We spent time I'm Uvita with the locals and had so much fun. It's pretty easy to get down to the town. Everyone is so sweet and welcoming. Our flight got delayed a day and the owner allowed us to extend and extra day for the same price. He was so gracious. Wendy who was our concierge while there was awesome. She hooked us up with a driver while we were there and gave us a lot of good recommendations on restaurants. I highly recommend staying at this home of your planning a visit to the Ojochal/Uvita area.
