Family holiday Dominical

We had a wonderful family holiday at Casa Rimba in Dominical. The house and surroundings are stunning. We enjoyed sitting outside overlooking the beautiful jungle and ocean. We saw toucans and blue butterflies, and heard the howler monkeys in the mornings. The house is between Dominical and Uvita and close to beautiful beaches. The road up to the house is a bit disconcerting at first but you do get used to it. A 4x4 is definitely needed. We really enjoyed our time in this gorgeous house and area.

Just a perfect WoW!!!

This house is more then amazing. We were 3 couples un paradise. 2 wonderfull room with glass showers and a fantastique Master suite on the second Floor. All includs were quality and nothing was missing. The patio, the pool even the exterior Light were wonderfull and gave the place an amazing ambiance at night. It is well localed in the jungle between Dominical and Uvita. We are sorry We only had 4 nights. We will for sure be back for more.

Amazing!

Visually stunning home, nonetheless comfortable to live and relax in. So many lovely spots, indoors and out, to enjoy the company of friends and family while watching and listening to nature. Amazing sunsets over the Pacific. Views for miles! We saw two species of monkeys, many different birds - including parrots and toucans, a coati, and an iguana all from the property. The local area is rich with amenities and activities, but we had trouble tearing ourselves away from this beautiful home with its sweeping views of jungle and ocean.

Beautiful home in a beautiful location.

The owner was very responsive to any questions. The internet is finicky and requires rebooting several times a day. Three almost identical bedrooms with only one bathtub, but the bathtub is really cool outside. Unfortunately it rained heavily almost every day, and it’s the “dry season” but even in the rain a really special place to stay!

A piece of paradise in the jungle

Despite a less than stellar check-in we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is simply spectacular in many respects, location, design, appointments, views, privacy. As long as you realize that the house is at the end of a very steep and winding mountain dirt road, and sits in the middle of the jungle and don't mind the large insect population, you are truly in a piece of paradise. We did not share the effusive opinion of previous tenants about the house manager who seemed at best uninterested, but this did not impact our enjoyment of this truly special house.

Birds, monkeys and a phenomenal home!

Evan was very easy to work with booking the home and Leif took care of our every need. Casa Rimba exceeded our expectations! It was very well equipped and the beds were really comfortable. The design of the home is simply beautiful and took every advantage of the gorgeous views. We loved the location so close to Dominical and Uvita, with great restaurants close by. The home is directly in the rain forest and only a 5 minute drive up the hill. We have stayed at other homes in that area that were two to three times as far up the hill which makes leaving and returning a process! There is also a state of art workout facility that you can walk to which was so nice to have close by. The wildlife we saw so close to the house was unbelievable, we would awaken to howler monkeys and have coffee watching them and at least 7 toucans and dozens of other birds flying around us all while enjoying the views of the Pacific Ocean behind them! I cannot say enough how wonderful this home and location are!! Highly recommend it!

Exceptional house and setting

We had an outstanding time in Costa Rica and much of this was due to the the remarkable home and exotic surroundings. The home was convenient to beaches, national parks and restaurants. Kudos to Property Manager Leif Bernhardt, daughter Alexa and wife Karol for their attention. Lots of precious memories, many of which are due to the magnificent home.

Our family of 4 spent 4 nights and loved every minute of it, wished we could have stayed longer. The views and the pool were like nothing we've ever experienced. The house was spotless and brand new, Leif was a pleasure to deal with and answered our endless questions. There were so many cool spots to explore within a 10 minute drive when we weren't simply enjoying the house. The howler monkeys were a highlight each morning. The chefs service that brought dinner was a nice touch too. Would highly recommend and hope to return for another visit. sometime.

What a wonderful home in the middle of the rain forest with beautiful ocean views. Monkeys, pigs, and beautiful birds and butterflies entertained us during the day. This home exceeds expectations in its comfort and design. The pool is just the right size for a comfortable dip on a warm afternoon. The kitchen will meet all your needs with the latest appliances and is well equipped. The outdoor bbq area is perfect with the gas grill and small fridge. Loved the deck area for viewing wildlife in the rain forest. Leif was on hand for any request and made sure we had all we needed for a fantastic trip. I highly recommend this home for a perfect Costa Rica vacation.

Magnificent home in the middle of the jungle. Cocktails by the pool overlooking the Pacific ocean watching the sun set, Priceless. A beautiful house with all the modern amenities close to all the cool activities. Our host Leif was great and made sure we had all we needed. Well worth renting.

Stop shopping. This is the best. By far.

This is our last night at Casa Rimba. If you are shopping around, stop right here. We have booked many homes around the world but none like this one. It is stunning and as others say, pictures don't do it justice. It is new and comfortable, stunningly designed (by the owners) and offers views that are memorable. You are embraced by the jungle with Howler Monkeys and Toucans while swimming in the infinity pool. Leif is an amazing host and recommended the best acitivities such as zip lining and horseback riding to the Nuyaca Falls (a must do). Hopefully the house does not sale and we can be back next year. We envy the next renters. Enjoy as must as we did!

Do I dare say the pictures of this palace don't even do it justice? Let's start with the owner is nothing short or amazing. Lived his whole life in the area and know EVERYTHING about it. You will NOT find this level of knowledge at any resort or concierge service. So 5+ Stars for that. Second the REAL reason one chooses this dream location "the home". Well hard to wipe the smile off your face after you step foot in this ONE OF A KIND. Appointed perfectly with everything one could need and views to die for and location is amazing. This place is VERY worth the price of admission and trust me worth treating yourself to. Simple put PERFECT!!!!! I really don't have much to say sine this place left me literally speechless, except by far the best place I have ever step foot into. A MUST EXPERIENCE!!!!!!!
