The Oriental Heritage Residence was a fantastic stay in Bangkok! The staff, especially Betty, were exceptional. Everyone was incredibly friendly, helpful, and they truly went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The hotel is located close to ICONSIAM from Pier Bangkak (a 3-mn boat ride for 6 baht) behind the Post Office. ICONSIAM offered amazing shopping, food and entertainment options. From the hotel, Chinatown is easily accessible on foot; Betty gave us clear directions. But here's a hidden gem I discovered: Ma's Roast, a fantastic Chinese/Hongkongers restaurant down the street. Make sure to try it out for some incredible food! The owners are fantastic as well.

The hotel offers great value for money, especially for solo travelers. The staff were very helpful. The room was clean and divided into two parts by a curtain: the bed area, and the bathroom with a WC area. The bed was comfortable. However, as some guests have mentioned in their reviews the shower had some issues. I found it impossible to adjust the water temperature, and it was either too hot or too cold. When I brought this up during check-out, the staff informed me that there was a switch to adjust the temperature hidden somewhere, but it was too late for me to try it. If you need extra workspace, you can visit the brand-new Starbucks located inside the postal office building next to the hotel. Additionally, the Icon Siam shopping mall is within walking distance, but you'll need to take the shuttle boat by the river to get there (which is fun).

The location was good with many things to see and do nearby and walking distance. We got a room facing away from the Main Street and it was quiet. Staff were great and very helpful. The room was fine except no closet or luggage rack. The bathroom is unique and drapery separates it from the bedroom area. Be sure not to dirty linens or break anything; they have a long list of items you’ll be charged for. We enjoyed our stay and the reasonably priced stay.

When you first arrive at the hotel, it doesn't look friendly, but the staff and room were very nice and relaxing.

The only one I like was the kind staff. Everything else was closer to a plain Inn rather than a hotel. The worst thing was the shower water. Pressure wasn't good enough and, even worse, it was impossible to adjust temperature of water. Too hot or too cold.

The staff were incredibly kind and helpful. The location looked a bit dodgy when we arrived late at night, but it turns out that it is safe and conveniently located. The room is nicely appointed, but no frills. Firm and super comfy bed as well! Shower water temp required some attention to keep warm, but it was manageable and no big deal at all. Definitely recommend!

Wonderful boutique stay in a great location
Such a wonderful boutique hotel! Perfectly situated for us - we wanted to wander old Bangkok / Chinatown during the day and go out in Silom and to other more upscale parts of Bangkok at night. The hotel design is very cute and attractive, with an authentic vibe. And the staff were more than kind and helpful. I would for sure return next time I'm in Bangkok.

The Oriental Heritage Residence is a great option if you're interested in a boutique-type hotel that's central to the action in Bangkok. The staff go out of their way to accommodate your needs and are very friendly. There is a small restaurant in the hotel that offers drinks (both alcoholic and non), breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The room was nice and clean and the shower setup is aesthetically pleasing. I highly recommend the hotel and would happily book it again if I return to Thailand.

classical hotel very convenient, lovely 7-11 just beside. not far behind the hotel you can go iconsiam via free boat shuttle just behind the CAT tower (cat tower pier) you dont have to go “si phraya ferry pier”

The rooms were spacious, and the bathrooms immaculate with a big walk-in shower. We had two rooms, and both had a sitting area as well. Staff were very polite and helpful at all times. No noise in the rooms from the street. We didn’t try the breakfast - seemed expensive for what it was. Not many bars and restaurants in the immediate area, but lots of places within a short cab or tuk-tuk ride. For eating out, would highly recommend Harmonique - it’s only a two minute walk away.

Had a great stay here for 5 nights. Friendly and helpful team of staff, bed is very comfortable. There’s a 7-11 just next door. Not near to bts station but no problems in getting cabs from the hotel.

This place is a gem. Value for money because of comfort, location and good service. The rooms are nice, just right for one person. Maybe a bit on smaller side for two? Super clean, and charming. Perfect for a business or solo traveler. Just a few minutes taxi ride to BTS or a short walk to river taxi. I needed to attend a conference at nearby Sheraton and this was perfectly located 5 minute walk away. Plenty of places to eat, massage or shopping nearby. Although on the main road, my room was in the back of the property and completely quiet. I would only say that if you’re in a hurry beware that food at restaurant comes out a bit slow & this us when i was the only person there. Friendly, courteous service and all the staff spoke good English.

Great stay near the River
The Hotel was great. Service was on point and just as expected. Room was very clean and comfortable. View was not the best but to be expecting being amongst taller buildings. 5 min walk to boat dock to get up and down river and iconsiam is right across river with shops and markets. For the price I would for sure stay here again, and I don’t want to forget to mention that Panda, Nanny and a nice woman with glasses (I forgot her name) who usually works the mornings were very helpful!!

Small hotel yet it has pretty good location. Walking distant to the pier to take ferry around the city so it’s very continent. Close to the Robinson mall for night market and about 10 mins tuk tuk to Patpong area. The room itself was good and roomy enough. The only problem we have was the shower door didn’t close properly but it wasn’t a big deal at all. The staffs are super nice, friendly and helpful which makes the experience a lot nicer :) I would stay here again.

I stayed here for 3 nights and can easily say it is one of the best hotels I have ever stayed at! I have traveled to Bangkok for over 10 years and stayed in every type of accommodation and this is perfect - small guest house vibe with 4 star hotel quality and service standard. Immediately welcomed with friendly helpful staff, welcome drink and cool towel. Were able to fulfill my request for a high floor and quiet room (from reading other reviews) and it was PERFECT! Room was absolutely spotless, more than 5 star hotels I have stayed at, beautifully clean bed, bathroom and beautiful decor. Easy 10 minute walking distance to BTS, 2 minute walk to orange water taxi and 5 minute walk to Lebua State Tower for sunset drink (absolutely perfect location!) Restaurant was lovely food and perfect quiet spot for a tea before bed to relax after day of sightseeing. There are lovely massage centers only 5 minutes walk (I went to Suanploo Thai Massage every night, it was the best!) and many different food options. Not much on the road you're staying on but a convenient 7/11 right next door but walking distance to everything you ever need. The staff went above and beyond from start to finish from reception, restaurant and cleaning.

Remembering stay at Oriental Heritage Residence
A warm welcome for the late check-in guests which already impressed us! Reception staff has been very helpful and assist whenever possible. Room is clean-line design which is keeping it simple and unique. It will be very nice for couple or close friends with the open concept room design. The breakfast was personalised that you decide what to be made for you. Overall it was a pleasant stay for 4 nights!
