Beautiful views

We just returned from Ski Roost and overall were happy with it. The only concern was a bear encounter on the deck. Being that you’re in the mountains, a bear isn’t completely unexpected but the fact that it walked right around the corner as we were hanging out by the fire pit was just unnerving. The next night 2 additional bears came by. With kids, it just made us nervous so we left early. This is no reflection of the house as this could happen anywhere. The house itself had the absolute best views and was in a great location.

Fantastic Views

If you want great views and an open yet cozy environment, this is the place. Fantastically supplied kitchen with all of your basic needs covered. Pantry included things like foil, trash bags, soap, dish detergent supplied for your convenience. All those little things you might stock in your own vacation home are there for you. Proximity to the ski area is awesome, just a few minutes drive.We took advantage of the fireplace and hot tub every night and both were easy to use and maintain. The smart TV allows access to many streaming apps, just sign in (and remember to sign out at the end of your stay). I loved the retro game system with Pacman and lots of old favorites. All appliances, oven/stove and grill worked perfectly and heating units were great to keep individual parts of the cabin warm.It snowed about 3-4 inches during our stay and I used the supplied shovel to clear a path through the porch to the road. It was so dry it felt shoveling feathers.A family of deer bedded down below the porch in the snow and seemed quite at home there.A word to the wise, heed the caution about the roads being hazardous without proper tires/chains/4x4d. They are pretty well maintained but steep in parts. If the snow is deep you may be able to drive away from the chalet down to the main road without proper snow equipment, but getting to the chalet would be difficult.We loved every minute of our stay and we will be back.

Great location & amenities

We absolutely loved the location of this property. We visited Beech Mountain to ski and the property is very close to the ski resort. We also loved the property’s amenities. The outdoor living space is amazing. The indoor wood burning fireplace made the space extra cozy.We traveled with two families and there was plenty of space for everyone. We also used the kitchen to make meals and it had everything we needed.The bathrooms are not on the main floor, but we didn’t find that to be a problem. The mattress in the primary bedroom was pretty squeaky. There’s only one bath towel per person, but there’s a washer and dryer on property. Overall, we had a great stay.

Beautiful View

Ski Roost has a wonderful view from the deck and is equipped with little touches that make for a wonderful stay. There were some yard games and sharpies to decorate rocks on the deck, the retro arcade game was a huge hit with the kids and adults, and the deck fire pit gave warmth while we took in the view in the morning and evening. We noticed a pack and play and stairway gate in a closet that would be so helpful for younger kiddos too. The living room tv was a smart tv that let us sign in to our streaming services too - sometimes a very important feature for families with kids used to certain shows on demand :) We would recommend and visit again!

Perfect Mountain View

We stayed there for a wedding we attended on Beech Mountain. It was such a great place would love to go back sometime in the winter. View from there was amazing!!!

The property was as described. The view was great and the property was very clean, well appointed and met all of our expectations. The host was helpful and easy to communicate with. It was a convenient location. We hope to stay there again!!!

Family vacation

Great views, close to the slopes

The covered deck with the view is fantastic. We played games that were provided by the host, relaxed in the hot tub, and watched movies over the wood burning fireplace. VERY close to Beech mountain ski lifts, right down the road.

Wonderful Mountain Retreat

Arrived in the evening- everything was perfect. We were able to get settled in quick and start our relaxing weekend. The view is amazing. LOVED the back deck. We got a lot of use out of the fire pit and hot tub. Would definitely stay here again.
