Your whole family of 8 can enjoy this open concept, gorgeous vacation home. This property was designed just for you. If you want to explore there are trails right next to the house on conservation land. If you want to visit Acadia National park or Bar Harbor, they are just minutes away. Restaurants, grocery stores, shops closeby.



The Space:

Bar Harbor Island Escape is right on Mt Desert Island, home of Acadia National Park and downtown Bar Harbor.

Your whole family of 8 can enjoy this open concept, gorgeous vacation home. This property was designed just for you. If you want to explore there are trails right next to the house on conservation land. If you want to visit Acadia National park or Bar Harbor, they are just minutes away. Restaurants, grocery stores, shops and all of the amenities are close! Stay in and grill on the spacious deck, and watch the kids play in this amazing yard and on the jungle gym. Finish your perfect night by the firepit for s'mores and stargazing.



First Floor: Open kitchen and living room with a propane fire place, large smart TV and first floor bedroom.

The Kitchen is fully equipped for family cooking with an airfryer, toaster, 2 coffee makers, and plenty of dishes and cooking supplies!

First floor bedroom has a queen bed and plenty of room.

Bathroom is a full bathroom with a tub/shower, and spacious with storage.

Washer/dryer in the hallway.



Second Floor: 3 Bedrooms and a full bathroom with a walk in shower. Everyone has access to both bathrooms.

Bedroom one: King bed, 2 closets, lounge furniture and plenty of light.

Bedroom two: King bed with a sweet canopy tent to play in.

Bedroom three: Queen bed with storage.

AC on the second floor, in the main bedroom and king bedroom to take the edge off those warmer nights. Open the windows for that cool Maine air we love!

Downtown Bar Harbor is 9 miles. Acadia National entrance and trails are 4 miles away. Town Hill is 3 miles, Somesville is 5 miles, and many more towns with shopping, restaurants, antiquing and groceries.

Such a beautiful home and had a large back porch to sit and let the kids play. The boys loved the play area and large backyard. I also like that it was one at houses but had trees secluding the house. The area was very quiet and peaceful.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay here! Loved the games you had and as a group, we did the puzzle when we had downtime! Loved the location and it felt like we were coming "home"each night. For future guests, the drip coffee pot takes cone filters. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location to Acadia, SW Harbor, and Bar Harbor!! About 15-20 min from each. Very easy driving. Great deck and fire pit/yard. The sofa had a few stains and the kitchen had some crumbs. Beds were comfy. Overall great place

Perfect Acadia Getaway

Ideal location for Acadia trip. Far enough from the town but close enough to everything else. House had everything you need to relax after a day of hiking in Acadia. Communication was top notch.

Easy and clear communication with property management. Home was clean and beautiful. Property offers tranquility, lots of pine trees and privacy, and plenty of space. Kitchen was easy to navigate and spacious. Rooms are large enough to accommodate inflatable beds if needed for extra guests/we used an inflatable for our toddler. Living room has plenty of natural light and windows for a nice breezy day. Couch is extra large for movie nights. Location to Bar Harbor and the Acadia Mountain is very close. Lots of activities nearby. The Hannaford grocery store is close by and down near Bar Harbor as well. Perfect spot.

Overall, the house was great. Great space for us and well very equipped! Deck is amazing. Location was centrally located and easy to get to and from everything we needed in 10-20 minutes. Loved the privacy and quiet, but it was easy to zip over the Bar Harbor, SW Harbor, and many places in Acadia. The kitchen had everything we needed... nice sheet pans, frying pans, plenty of plates and silverware. We grilled one night and that worked well. Couldn't even hear the dishwasher running.The upstairs bath has been renovated since the pictures were taken and we missed some towel bars that used to be there. Amazing shower fixtures! Great water pressure.You must go to Mainely Meats and Atlantic Brewing right up the street. Excellent food and beer and customer service!Our only real complaint was that the house (mainly the kitchen) needs a deep clean. Appliances seemed newer, but need a thorough cleaning. Susan was very responsive on text- suggesting vinegar/dish soap for the fruit flies (which worked once we got it going) and trying to solve the garbage service issue.We had 4 full days and only scratched the surface of amazing Acadia. We have to come back!

Nice home near Bar Harbor

We enjoyed our stay at this home. Overall the house was a good fit for our family (ages 70, late 30s, 10, and 8). The play set in the backyard was a huge hit and there was ample seating in the living room and dining room. We enjoyed the communication about things to do in the area as well. A couple of notables about the home: there's no true bedside table in the downstairs bedroom which was a frustration for my mother-in-law. There is a dresser but it's not reachable from the bed. The wifi was slower than our cell signal, too, which meant that we used our phones instead of the wifi. We didn't come to Maine for the wifi, but some members of our group used all of their phone plan's high speed cell data and had their phone speeds throttled for the back half of our trip, which was less than ideal. We did communicate with the host about this, and an attempt was made to improve the wifi. Overall, we'd recommend this house to families that aren't looking to stay in the downtown Bar Harbor area, or need more space to spread out. The home was very clean, had ample towels, a washer/dryer, plenty of kitchen supplies, etc.

The property was beyond expectations. Very accommodating for our group of 6 adults and one toddler. Clean, large kitchen / living room area plenty of large comfortable bedrooms. Location was perfect for exploring the Bar Harbor / Acadia area.

Week on Mount Desert Island

Nice house, well stocked and furnished for a multi-family trip. Located right in the middle of the island and generally about 15 minutes or less from everything you want to do on the island. Nice fire pit, wooded surroundings, and playground. Might even look nicer in person than in the pictures. There's a few things that could be better maintained but I let the owner know and they seemed responsive. sounded responsive.

Great house and neighborhood

The house was great. Loved the open lay-out of the livingroom/dining area/ kitchen. Couch was huge. Great for the family to lounge at the end of the day. House was perfectly nestled in the pinetrees. The downstairs bedroom became very warm and stuffy at night but that was really the only negative.

Perfect common areas for group

We stayed 5 nights for a family hiking trip to Acadia and loved the quiet street in the pines and the large common spaces to relax, cook, and play. The living room has a huge, comfortable sectional, the dining table seats 10, and the kitchen is wide open to cook together. The yard has a great playground in back and there is plenty of wood for the fire pit. Beds are comfortable and appliances/lights are all new and working great. It was so nice to have a lovely, comfortable house after long days of hiking and tide pooling in the park. We would definitely stay here again!

Perfect Bar Harbor Home Base

The Bar Harbor Island Escape property was a perfect fit for our family of five. Eden of Mt. Desert

Beautiful property and really close to just about everything we wanted to do and see. We had a wonderful time in Maine as its our first time being there. Couldn't have asked for a better little gem for our stay! We eventually found the remotes for the A/C upstairs which was really helped with the change in temp as the seasoned open.

Great location but could use some TLC

We stayed for a long weekend in Bar Harbor with friends. The location was great and the property was really cute and private but overall we didn't find the property to be very clean. The dishwasher detergent was an obscure brand that didn't leave the dishes clean even after completely pre-washing them. The stove was grimey and sticky when we arrived. The blankets on the couch hadn't been washed and had visible stains. Also the listing says two kings but one of the king beds is just two twin beds pushed together...It was a convenient option for wanting to explore Bar Harbor/Acadia but it could have used a deep clean!

Wonderful very clean home near Bar Harbor/Acadia NP

Wonderful say in a cute very clean home. Was perfect for 6 adults to visit Acadia National Park/Bar Harbor. Very bright open clean home. Had a very comfortable couch and a big dining room table. Has a nice kitchen that was well stocked with many pots, pans, and dishes which we were able to book. It did not have a lot of spices and such or any condiments in the fridge as some houses do, which is ok just wanted people to know. The beds were all super comfortable with extra pillows and blankets as needed. The yard was beautiful surrounded by trees. Lots of chairs for the backyard and the grill was in good condition and clean! The house was very clean and as advertised! Check-in and out instructions were perfect! Would definitely stay here again! Thanks for a great stay!
