Best hotel in bar harbor. Loved every aspect of the place. The ac didnt stay or even go on at night. And there where no firm pillows only soft. But either way had a great experience and wouldnt stay anywhere else. Looking forward to returning. Oh room service stoos at 10PM not 11pm like the menu states. 👍👍

Wonderful Hotel

We enjoyed our stay in Bar Harbor at the West Street Hotel. First class accommodations. Loved the pantry on each floor and enjoyed the adult rooftop pool area and the access to the amenities across the street. Will definitely come back.

Nice hotel close to harbor

Positive: Clean room with a beautiful harbor view. Location was wonderful. Negative: The pantry did not restock the coffee capsules over Memorial Day weekend. The staff were inexperienced and did not know much about the property. The facility fee was 25 per day and the fee allowed usages to the exclusive harbor side club. Unfortunately the club was not nearly ready for guests. Hot tub was cold and swimming pool was dirty with leaves and dead bugs in the pool. There were no towels in the shower/changing room. Sauna was only for SPA guests and required additional fees. The fee was excessive with level of service and conditions of the facility.

Close to attractions but overpriced

Given the high costs ($419/night and $25/night for resort fees), we expected spectacular facilities and services, but this experience was comparable to experiences at less expensive hotels. They have an infinity pool that overlooks the harbor, but it is small. We were told that we could use the sister hotel's facilities. Again for the price, I expected soft towels (extremely rough), slippers with my robe, turn down service (available but you have to request it). If the rate was more moderate, would not have these expectations.

Comfortable and a Great Location in Bar Harbor

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the West Street Hotel! This was our first trip to Bar Harbor and we booked based on online recommendations and we weren't disappointed. The location is very convenient right on the waterfront and the staff was very attentive. We were We extended for an extra day and the staff was very efficient about handling our extended stay and keeping us at the same rate as our original booking. I travel often for business and pleasure and this was a very pleasant experience...We will stay here again!

Position (A) , no doubt.

Large pool / hot tub were across the street at other facility. Long street walk in your robe. There's a side building and mani building. Get yourself in the main building. Highly recommend it. A bit pricey

Great location & staff

We spent 5 days at the hotel while visiting Bar Harbor & Acadia NP. It's the perfect location if you want to be on the water while also close to the park, which was our main goal when searching for a place to stay. The hotel is very nice and the staff is tremendous. The pantry (water, ice, coffee, fruit and cookies) located on each floor is a wonderful amenity as is the laundry room. Both are super clean and convenient. My only complaint is the additional $25.00 charge each day for the Bar Harbor Club. We didn't have great weather for 2 days, so swimming was not an option, and most of our free time was spent at Acadia on the remaining days. We used the pool one day but paid $125.00 for it. I think the charge should be on a daily as used basis and not a flat fee. The club itself is beautiful and we loved the time we spent there and would be happy to pay the fee, if we were actually using it. Had I realized we were being charged extra for the club (which very well may have been stated and I missed it) I certainly would have planned to spend time there swimming/playing tennis on one of the nice days. Parking is also conveniently located just behind the hotel, which is necessary in the area. All and all, we loved our stay and would recommend the hotel and the Bar Harbor/Acadia area in general.

Des vacances de rêves

Nous avons terminé notre tournée de la côte est avec un arrêt à Port Harbour, un ami m'avait avisé de le faire et c'était génial, un bijou d'endroit! Nous avons vraiment aimé l'endroit. Ce n'est pas pour tous les budgets, car l'endroit en général est très dispendieux, de l'autre côté de la rue il y a un charmant restaurant, vous devez prendre un "blueberry mojito". Au restaurant de l'Hôtel (Paddy's) les déjeuners sont excellents, mais $$$ et si vous avez un chien l'endroit est idéal pour eux partout à Port Harbour!
