Perfectly located

The apartment was clean, cozy, incredibly convenient, and perfectly located. It was a lovely apartment building and provided a great home base.

Nice little place

We stayed over for two nights. This apartment was clean and sunny with a full kitchen and comfortable bed. There is also a sleeper sofa in the living room. It is very close and convenient to the Aerobus bus stop so you don't need to take a taxi from the airport. We took the Aerobus from the airport (they leave every 5 minutes) and 25 minutes later arrived at the Plaça de Catalunya. The apartment is located a few blocks away - in a nice area. There are many good restaurants and stores near the apartment and it is a 10 minute walk to Las Ramblas. We had a nice stay.

Great Location but Very Date and Construction Next Door

The apartment is very well located and within walking distance of all major sites. The interior is very dated especially the bathroom where the tiles look to have been painted years ago and are now badly peeling. The worst part is that the building sharing the bedroom exterior wall is under a major renovation and the vibrations of hammers and drills wake you at 8am and go till 5pm. I would not recommend this apartment as it appears the renovations will continue for sometime still. This apartment is really noisy and not relaxing.

Perfect Location

The location of the apartment was excellent. Being on the 5th floor, it was very quiet even though it was on La Rambla. The furniture in the living room was not very comfortable and the light switch in the hall was not working properly. There was also a flashing blue light all night that was quite distracting.in the hall; It was necessary to close the bedroom door. And as stated by other clients, the bathroom was in bad state of repair and definitely needed attention. There was hair in the bathtub drain and on the bathroom floor which was not ours. We felt that we paid for the location but the apartment could have been better maintained. It was quite expensive for the time of year we were in Barcelona.

Don’t do it

The place looks nothing like the pictures. The bathroom has paint pealing off everything, the wood floors are missing pieces and have screws holding down part of the wood. There is construction going on directly beside and above the apartment with hammers and grinding on the new steel they are installing. Impossible to get any sleep once they start working each morning. The couch is so worn out it’s impossible to use. You just feel the metal bars. The place is 10 years past due for a renovation. The staff refunded part of my money. Wish I had booked somewhere else for sure.

Vibrant and noisy location

Overall, the apartment was nice with a separate bedroom, living room, kitchen and bathroom but it was somewhat dated and there were ant traps in every room. There were two juliette balconies which opened onto La Rambla - a highly active tourist area close to many restaurants, bars, cafes, shops and transit. Unfortunately, there's a major renovation going on in the building next door that was quite noisy and disturbing throughout the day and which was not advertised on the listing before we booked. The management company although apologizing for the inconvenience indicated they had no previous knowledge of it. We paid top dollar to rent the unit, but nothing was offered to compensate us for the extra disturbance and noise. The management was helpful in allowing us to access the unit early and also provided us with a bottle of champagne for celebrating a milestone birthday. If you're bothered by noise, then you might want to consider a different unit.

Tidy Apt in a GREAT Location

I'm sure the building started life 100+ years ago with one or 2 grand apartments per floor. Today the lower floors are law offices and the upper floors have been cut up into several small apartments, most managed by Stay U-nique. Mine was typical of an older urban apartment, much like my first apt in NYC. Location is fantastic, and this apt faces Rambla de Catalunya with great views from 2 small balconies. The big glass doors are soundproof so you don't hear the street noise. Neighborhood has everything, and added plus - Deutsche Bank ATM across the street that doesn't add the massive charges the Spanish banks do. Upon arrival, the apartment was SPOTLESS. Kitchen is well equipped and I don't think anyone has ever used that oven, it's so clean. My check-in had a couple of hiccups (I paid for night before for an early check-in, but the SU check-in app said "come back after 3."). I called the Stay Unique people and they were great on the phone and helped me get in via their remote entry system. They are absolutely perfect on the phone and via WhatsApp, but absolutely terrible at email. I tried to arrange housecleaning via email and could not get it done. Once here, got it sorted with a single WhatsApp chat. Don't even bother with email; just use WhatsApp. Only drawback for me was the living room sofa, possibly the most uncomfortable sofa ever manufactured. Cheap foam cushions that don't stay in place and quite short, so impossible to stretch out on it. The bathroom is showing its age. At some point the original marble tiles on the walls were painted white, and that paint is now flaking off. The shower mixing valve could be replaced with a more modern one that senses water pressure. This one needs tweaking throughout the shower (easily done). Bottom line - great place for me. I was in it for 3 weeks and very satisfied. The location more than makes up for any minor flaws in the unit itself

Wonderful location and apartment!

This apartment is exactly as pictured and it is totally turnkey with everything you need for your stay, even laundry soap, dish soap, paper towels and extra toilet paper (things you usually have to get yourself). The kitchen is completely outfitted with everything needed and there were provided videos on how everything worked. When I had a brief problem with the heating someone came to fix it within minutes and everyone was very polite. Although there are plenty of good restaurants and great shopping throughout this neighborhood, it is more residential at night, but still close to the action, when and if you want it. It is also close to all transportation, metro, bus, aerobus, and trains. The apartment is perfect for a solo traveler or a couple. One of the only things missing, for me, was an ice cube tray for making drinks and a kitchen towel, but these were tiny details and not a problem. You can see the sea from the balconies and the view is more removed from the street or sidewalk because it is the 5th floor. I would stay here again without hesitation.
