Walking distance from the Cathedral and buses. Close to shopping center, Hotel is nice and clean. Our quadruple room quite generous space, only negative was no windows. We love the breakfast and the dining area.

Great hotel, great location

Very well located hotel, close enough, not too close to Las Ramblas / Plaza Catalunya. Very comfortable rooms, like the refillable water dispensers. Parking also convenient in hotel if needed.

Was not part of the F1 crowd but just happened to be the weekend. Rowdy little bar outside, dumpsters lined the front street. Hotel staff very good and friendly. Room was small for the price I’m sure it would be cheaper if the event was not on. I will look for a better location next time in town.

Meson Castilla was a great find in Barcelona. Close to shopping and tapas. Easily accessible by public transportation. The staff was extremely friendly and breakfast was a perfect start of the day. Room was adequate and clean. Air conditioner could’ve worked better. Room was a constant 22 degrees despite being set to 18.

Great location! Staff are friendly and helpful. Probably one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in. You can walk to any restaurant, attraction or event within minutes. Lovely hotel and don’t believe what they say about El Raval the people, the district and culture were amazing. Will be definitely coming back to the Meson Castilla Atiram.

Nice hotel

This hotel is very well situated in Barcelona. It's near the university and Placa de Catalunya. It's easy to get around the on the metro (Universitat station). The room I rented was for 4 people. It was located on floor 1 1/2. This means we had to walk up the stairs to bring our luggage as the elevator only stopped on the full floors. Our room had a private room with a queen bed. There was also a queen bed in the loft area. The private room was located facing the street. The hotel is right beside a pub. Because we were staying on a Saturday night, the noise from the pub was loud. However, due to walking around Barcelona all day, it didn't bother us as we were too tired to hear it. I would stay here again. The staff were very pleasant and friendly and the room was comfortable.

The Meson Castilla is a beautiful hotel with helpful staff. I travelled here with my mum and son for a birthday, staying in a triple room. The room was adequate for a short stay and very quiet. The hotel ideally located by a metro station, the gothic quarter and La Rambla. Breakfast was held in a beautiful dining room and very well catered for with excellent choice. The outside terrace looks a lovely area to sit in nice weather, unfortunately we had rain. The hotel has luggage storage which was convenient as our flight home wasn’t until late so we were grateful to leave our bags there after checkout. I look forward to staying here again on a return trip to Barcelona.

Comfortable room in great area.

Room was quiet, large and comfortable. My stay happened to overlap my birthday. I had been out for the day and when I returned to my room, there was a bunch of balloons, a cupcake, and a card for me on the desk. What a wonderful surprise!! Amazing customer service above and beyond what was expected.

We were very disappointed in this room and with the breakfasts. There weren’t any amenities at this hotel such as a place to get a beverage. I was very surprised at how small the room was, and that there were no windows whatsoever! This is not what I expected when I booked the room. If you are claustrophobic, be careful when booking your room. The staff was friendly enough but didn’t go out of their way to see if you needed anything. Best thing I can say is that the location is great and only about a 3 block walk to Las Ramblas.
