Lovely historic home

We just returned from a long weekend at the schoolhouse, it is a lovely home - basic but clean, wonderfully historic, charming and peaceful. There is a brook outside the bedroom window on the first floor and it was so nice to hear it babbling while we were falling asleep.

The location of this old schoolhouse is beautiful, and landscaping around the house is well done. My family enjoyed our stay and were very comfortable. Though furnishings and appliances were not perfect or top of the line, they were functional and adequate.We were not able to get the pin pad door lock or house key to work when we arrived and luckily one of the owners was able to let us in. The next day we were able to get the pin pad to reset and it worked well for the remainder of our stay. When we arrived, there were dishes in the dishwasher and were not clean. We found a couple dishes on the shelf that were not clean as well. We also found wet towels in the washing machine that had obviously been there for a while.Even with the above mentioned concerns, our overall stay was comfortable and pleasant.
