Our concierge Fraser was very accommodating. I’m very happy with their service. This hotel is perfect! Basel SBB was just right across the property so eventhough we woke up late for our trip, we still made it on time😁 would’ve loved to have stayed longer because I really loved our room but sadly we had to go. I most definitely recommend this property!

Next to Basel SBB. Reception staff very friendly and efficient. Spacious clean room and the bed is so comfortable! Location very convenient with lots of dining options, large supermarket, shopping district and a marketplace. Highly recommended!

All round happy.
Two day stay whilst on a rail journey from Budapest to UK. Hotel staff very friendly and informative. Quality of food was excellent and well served. Very convenient location for transport links.

Beautiful and conveniently located
Hotel Victoria was in a great location to use the vast tram system in Basel. It is directly across from the train station and there are quite a few shops inside the station itself. Fraser at the front desk was very helpful to answer my MANY questions about the train station, fun activities (I was expecting to go to the museum, but it was closed on Mondays), and recommended a restaurant for my cuisine preferences. I really enjoyed talking to him and was very informative. My room was cozy and had all the necessities, plus some extras like slippers and toiletries. There were some hairs left on the bathroom floor, but everything else looked very clean. The room I was in required the use of stairs (4 or 5). One of my bags was heavy and would have preferred a ramp to easily move it up to the room.

vernight stay in Basel
We just stayed one night in Hotel Victoria on our way home from a rail trip. We had asked for a quiet room as we knew it was very close to the main station, and we were given a lovely quiet room at the back of the hotel. The hotel was was very clean and comfortable and the staff all spoke excelllent English and were very helpful. We would definitely stay at Hotel Victorias again if we return to Basel

Victoria is a four star hotel, very well located facing the Basel train station. It is mainly oriented to business customers. Premises are modern and well kept. It offers a very good buffet breakfast and private underground parking in the premises. The only VIP benefit to Expedia customers is free parking, not any other. I have also stayed in others hotels in the area and returning to Basel should decide for Schweitzerhof as I do not need to park a car and favor room views and warmer atmosphere.

Fantastic hotel. It is right next to the main train station and central tram line so great for commuting but do bear in mind it can be noisy when wanting to sleep. Cannot have windows open (it was a hot summer’s evening). Aircon is available in the room.

This hotel really is a find. It combines exceptional service with large, comfortable rooms and (for Switzerland) reasonable prices. They even have memory foam pillows as standard There’s a small gym with a decent free weight selection and three cardio machines. The hotel is right in front of the railway station and the direct bus to the airport, but it’s very tranquil. This is my second stay and I’ve been really impressed both times. Two small suggestions. 1. The Wifi is not consistently up to video conferencing or video streaming; I ended up using 5G instead. 2. They have plant-milk and vegan Bircher Muesli at breakfast but a few more vegan options would be great (overall choice is good and they have a vegan burger on the dinner menu)

Hotel Victoria is beautiful and so conveniently located. The room was comfortable and the bedding quite nice. We had dinner at the outside terrace and it was delicious. Fruhstuck buffet was vast and everything was fresh and good. Def recommend!!

We asked for a quiet room and were given a quiet room overlooking a garden courtyard. Perfect! The bed was very comfortable, well-designed and attractive bathroom, and great facilities in the room. The hotel is opposite the train station (with eateries and supermarkets) and the provided Basel card gives free tram and train access to the rest of Basel city. An excellent stay.

Hotel was very comfortable. The hotel is in a good location near the train station providing easy access. Even though it is near the RR station the rooms are very quiet. The staff was outstanding. We left a cell phone on the bus. The front desk staff (Neiomi) went way out of her way to help contact the bus driver, and act as our translator. Because of her help, we got our phone back.

This hotel is right across the street from the train terminal and the tram stop which was very convenient for us as we were going to the zoo. We are at the restaurant and enjoyed what we ordered.
