"Our stay at Nascar Hotel was exceptional from beginning to end. As someone who teaches hospitality in New York City and travels frequently, I don’t say this lightly—I was genuinely amazed by the level of customer service and hospitality we experienced here. Every single person we encountered was warm, welcoming, and sincerely friendly. The service felt genuine, not scripted, and everyone made us feel truly cared for. A very special thank you to Louisa at the front desk. She is truly one of a kind! Her kindness, warmth, professionalism, and genuine enthusiasm made such a lasting impression on us. Before our boat trip, she even surprised us with a cooler bag to take with us for the day—a small gesture that perfectly reflected the hotel’s thoughtful and caring approach to hospitality. She is exactly the kind of person every hotel hopes to have representing them. The rooms are lovely, comfortable, and beautifully maintained. Breakfast was another highlight, with delicious fresh options and eggs prepared à la minute, exactly the way you like them. The restaurant deserves special recognition. The food was outstanding, and I absolutely loved that the wine list exclusively featured Sardinian wines. It was such a thoughtful way to showcase the island’s incredible wine culture, and every bottle we tried was fantastic. Nascar Hotel perfectly captures the warmth and charm of Sardinian hospitality. Hotel Costa Dorada

"This was a nice place for a last minute booking, so I don’t want to give them less than 5 stars. Service was good and the staff was very friendly. BUT, the room was very dark and small, and the promised “sea view” wasn’t that good. Room looked much better on the picture than in real life. So minor disappointment. Also, there are no elevators at that hotel and I had to drag heavy suitcases up to the third floor - and no help was suggested or offered. Hope they would pay attention to that if the guests are older. The beach is accross the street, so while the hotel is listed as beach front - it’s not really on the beach. We had a pleasant stay for one night overall."

"We were absolutely elated by this place! Cala Gonone exceeded our expectations in terms of a beautiful coastal area that isn't mobbed like some other portions of Italy. Hotel Miramare is beautiful and right next to the beach. Parking was a little unclear and we got a ticket, so be aware of parking rules and finding a spot. The staff was very friendly and helpful with many suggestions. Our room was fantastic - complete with TWO balconies. The south balcony was a bit warm for our tastes but the east balcony (facing the beach) was shady and comfortable. The room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. We asked for extra pillows, which they promptly brought to us. We enjoyed the outdoor grill for dinner one night and really enjoyed the preparations. The breakfast buffet in the morning had all of the fruits, meats, perfectly-prepared eggs and pastries we could hope for, and the staff graciously let us get an early start on breakfast the morning we rented a boat. The atmosphere throughout was light, clean and uplifting, enhanced by the ultra-friendly staff. It's not even a question that we will return here on our next trip to Sardinia."

"This hotel was great! Staff were all very nice and helpful. We stayed in June and they had a great buffet breakfast each morning, plus drinks and snacks available the rest of the day. The pool was really nice and not too busy. Would recommend staying here. Only downside is that it is up on a hill (like everywhere else) and its about a 15 to 20 minute walk down to the city center."

"This resort hotel still looks new and modern. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were all really helpful. Breakfast was great - there is a buffet breakfast, but cooked dishes are chargeable as extras. The hotel bar is also really good. We stayed one night which was a mistake, because the resort has many facilities - like the swimming pool, private beach area, massage area, etc. - which you don’t really get to enjoy during a 1-night stay. This hotel is best enjoyed as a multi-day stay so that you can enjoy ALL the facilities."
