“French Country House is a rare find. We absolutely loved everything about it. Romantic, charming rural setting with stunning views of the coast and Mount Manganui. The ambience is wonderful. You feel like you are living in your own little French chateau surrounded by stunning decor. It’s définitely a million miles away from a standard corporate hotel. A unique and beautiful gem of a place. The family who run it are delightful people and made us very welcome. We went as part of a multi city……

“Friendly hosts, Margaret and Rob, cooked up a great breakfast both mornings of our stay and provided good ideas for local dining and sightseeing. The lovely pristine little suite features a very comfortable bed, a small sitting area with very rural views (cows and sheep very close by). The only downside to this rental is its distance from amenities tho there is nice hiking in nearby Otanewainuku Park.”

“Barn 1 is fabulous! Home is much larger than appears in site photos. Great location - 100m from the beach and 5 mins from restaurants and grocery store. Host was very responsive to all communications.”

Accommodating hosts and although we had a flight to catch the later check out than other places is a fantastic touch! Thoroughly enjoyed the space as a base while we explored the Mount.”

“Melissa's house is very welcoming. It is nice, comfortable, and Melissa makes it warm. She has a few animals (ducks, goose, hens, dogs, cats and now bees) which give the place a farm-ish feeling. We had a great time at Melissa's place, thanks a lot!”
