“We had such a good time—Mum, four teenagers and our little dog! We were hoping to unwind after the school term and work, and we did! We swam and walked every day. It’s a quiet, friendly neighbourhood. If you run out of something or fancy some takeaway, you’re in luck—there are shops nearby (you can walk or drive). It’s a short walk to the beach, and you can enjoy coastal walks nearby, swimming, fishing or just relaxing. It was easy to settle into this breezy beach bach—it felt like home away……

“I really enjoyed the night I spent here; I definitely would stay again! The place was clean and cozy with the most amazing views. Michelle (the host) was kind and responsive. It's also a short drive to Waihi Beach for food and fun activities.Just 2 things to keep in mind (not a critique!): (1) the driveway is gravel and steep but easy to navigate and (2) the kitchenette is small so check specific amenities ahead of time.”

“The host was very welcoming when we arrived, the cabin was small but seemed fine for what we needed. However after we had settled in and went for a swim in the pool a warm shower was needed, we had followed the host’s instructions on how to use the shower but could not get any hot water. I had texted the host asking for advice and wondering if “If it was just me being dumb” as a jokey text however he responded first with a text message then second on Expedia saying “Re shower: yes its you…etc”……
