Excellent escape

We recently stayed at the Boat House for a week of family time and relaxation. We enjoyed the screened in porch and the backyard pool was perfect! The house was in a great location with water views and close to town. It was a quick trip to our favorite little beach spot in Pass Christian! This was an excellent escape for our family of 4!

Relaxing vavay

We came with hopes of relaxing and that's exactly what we did! The Boat House has many different areas to kick back and relax, even during a rainy few days. We did have a few issues with minor areas that are in need of repair as well as landscaping in need of much maintenance. We loved the decore and fully equipped kitchen for cooking. We chose to relax and enjoy. We were very thankful for accomodating host, Kristen, and the ability to view the bay from the porch. anceor

Maybe I'm too picky...

The property was very nice and as others mentioned, the wrap around screened porch was used a lot.Communications: I was already in a tizzy that our other location (non VRBO) had been cancelled 5 days before our due arrival. I wasn't sure if my res for The Boat House went thru, so I sent Kristin a message via VRBO on Friday for her confirmation. I called her on Mon., late morning since I hadn't heard from her. I also contacted her about check in since I hadn't heard anything. Note: she said she sends that out 24 hrs. before the arrival. Sooner would have helped.Kitchen: It was nice but lacked a few things since we were there for a week. There are not any pans for the oven, so skip the pizza. Bring your own salt, pepper or any seasonings.Bedrooms: The pictures showing bedroom 1 is actually the swinging beds below the house. There is a king bed and 2 twin beds.The grounds: Hopefully a GOOD Spring clean up will get rid of the litter around the house, cheer up the gardens and fix the loose bricks around the pool. There are great floats for the pool.

Summer Unwind

Boat House was exactly what we were looking for. The porches were the highlight of our stay. Only disappointment about this property was the backyard/pool area. Needs some attention and upkeep. But has sooo much potential. Love the location!!!!
