this hotel is very lack luster, everything has been poorly managed. MY tV did not work and there was no maintenance available The front desk lady came and fixed it, wifi signal very weak. there was an inch of dust on all light fixtures, the pool was dirty, people wrote on the tiles from the film, we had to get towels from the front desk everything seemed shady, I never give bad reviews but this time you need to improve your place

The beds were horribly uncomfortable, the bedding looked like it came from a thrift store. Was not impressed at all. There was supposed to be a Sunday brunch but at 8 am one still had no way of getting to the cafe.

I want to start this review by saying, a few staff members 'got it' and responded when I said I was going to call Expedia to complain. Issues: 1. We stayed three nights. Upon check in we looked over the room and immediately asked that someone clean up the black mold in the shower. I even shared my cleaning hacks to make it a quick job. Nothing was done. 2. Day 2: Beds were not made, towels were not replaced. I found the linen room to grab additional bath towels. Black mold remained. 3. Day 3: I lost it. Garbage was not removed, no coffee replaced to make coffee. Beds not made, towels not refreshed. No toiletries replaced. Finally the new gal of three days (desk clerk) went to our room and did what she could. Black mold remained. This was absolutely not a good travel experience. We left at 0800 Saturday to people apologizing, but it was all too late. They need to staff up and do their jobs. Disappointed Lana Cramer I have a long history of working through Expedia and this was the worst experience I ever had. We left at 0800 on Saturday, and drove straight through to Milwaukee. View of Lake Superior and patio were excellent. Room was nice and spacious. Snack bar food was tasty and reasonably priced. Restaurant was closed both evenings. No pool towels available and mattress was hard/old were the negatives.

We came for a 24 hour visit to the Red Cliff Reservation. Rooms are clean and area is VERY quiet. Gorgeous views of marina and surrounding lake. NOTICE! There is a tribal discount but you can NOT book through 3rd party. Tribal members should call for their reservation (as it is a larger discount) but everyone else can book through Expedia for fast and easy service. Pool was very basic and a bit on the small side but was a nice surprise since the site doesn’t mention a pool. My kids entertain themselves but not much else to do at the hotel for kids besides the hotel and hot tub. Hot tub goes from inside to outside but is VERY small. Happy to report that the pool and hot tub was clean. Casino is basic and to be honest, a bit disappointing. Only slots available, no table games. Not much of a casino experience. Hotel bar was also basic and the bartender (Ray) was an interesting character. Not very engaging and a bit “gruff”. Overall, casino and bar was underwhelming. Hotel food was actually pretty good! They only had take-out food available while we were there, (think heavy apps & bar food) but it was surprisingly good and mid-range in price. Staff at kitchen was very friendly and even delivered the food to our seats at the bar! We were there for reservation business and the powwow. We would stay again but may want to try a place with more things to do around the area (like in Bayfield or Ashland) but will continue to support the Reservation.

The staff seemed indifferent to requests and concerns. In general the accommodations need upgrading and rethinking its services including food and entertainment and the location needs to consider how the staff engages with the customers.

We arrived at check-in time and had to wait about 15 or 20 minutes until we could get in our room. The TV remote did not work properly. Very difficult to change the channel. Bathroom lighting was terrible, very dark, hard to see in the mirror for shaving. The pool and hot tub not working and shut down. The location was very good for us. That was the best.

The view of the lake was nice, we enjoyed breakfast sitting out on the deck so we could see the lake. In our room the floor area by toilet was wet- not sure if the toilet is leaking or what was causing that. The pool and hot tub was out of service, not sure what was wrong with that but did not see any work being done. We got there at 2:00, we knew the check in time is 3:00, when asked if we could possibly check in early, we were told we could not, because a large group had just left earlier and the housekeeping staff was still trying to get the rooms cleaned and we probably could not even check in at 3:00. We left and did our in town plans, then came back and checked in. The hotel staff were very nice.
