A basic older Motel. It was mostly what i expected but did have hard time finding the person to check-in with. Otherwise quiet and functional space.

This is a wonderfully operated motel. True, the neighborhood is not cute but the rooms were very clean, the managers were nice and the price was right. Highly recommend this motel.

Felt like home

Me and my mother took a trip to west Virginia to get my sister. The hotel was comfortable the staff very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay again

Adequate accommodation for quick overnight stay

We just needed a bed and bathroom for a quick overnight stay in the area and didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg. This place fit the bill. It was clean, quiet and had everything we needed. WiFi was a bit spotty and the bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but it was adequate for the amount of time we spent there.

We arrived earlier than we expected and chose to continue our journey instead of staying overnight. The woman who was apparently in charge very graciously canceled our reservation and we moved on. We assume that we will not be charged for that room but it remains unclear.

This hotel left much to be desired. The towels were poor quality, internet didn’t work very well, the room was tiny and rundown, and they had no ice. The owners were nice, but with the condition of the room and the high price ($75), we would not recommend this hotel.

This building needs torn down or a serious remodel. There are broken doors and rooms smell heavily of smoke and heavy air freshener. I canceled amd stayed somewhere else so I wouldn’t stink and live.

This property should be CLOSED DOWN! Every time we left t,the hotel employee entered our room and S$600 was gone from my wallet. Do Not RStay there. We had to leave prior to our checkout. I also think they have cameras inside rooms. Total invasion

This place is awful!

They would not honor my hotel.com reservation. I had to pay again. Nonsmoking room had blankets with cigarette burns. Room smelled bad. Refrigerator had bb shot holes in it. Overall badexperience. Dont stay here!

I booked this hotel, drove twelve miles out of my way and when I got there I was informed they had no rooms available. This was a nightmare! It caused me to find another room at a higher price and made for a terrible night and a horrible experience. I feel some compensation should be offered from your company to restore good faith in your company and services

I was turned away at the door. I was told they didn’t have any rooms available. They promised a refund that I haven’t received. I had to reserve a room at a nearby motel. The motel operator at the second motel told me that the Patriot had a bad reputation for illegal activities. My reservation at the Patriot was cancelled by the Patriot, not me. I deserve a refund and the Patriot should not be sponsored by Hotel.com.

We spent one night in two beds room .It was the worst experience we've ever had. Smelly, box size room with dirty carpet and shabby walls. Bathroom door broken and didn't close, rusty bathtub, the sink ,toilet and ceramic tile ugly .Towels very thin and stained, blankets so dirty and with a lot of holes and one of them with a big cut on it. Bed sheets and pillow covers looks unwashed, with black hair everywhere and stains, so, we slept with clothes on. To be honest matrasses were good. And we pay $74 for it.

Property was old, bathroom was very tiny, no counter space. All the vents were covered with masking tape. Made me wonder what they were trying to keep out. Had to ask for towels. Room was not serviced or bathroom supplys replenished for out 2nd night. Door sticks, very hard to open. Burn holes in blankets, bed uncomfortable. I saw prices of $40.a night on line for this place, Expedia charged me $105. a night. I feel like Expedia ripped me off. I was very dissapointed.

If you're in the mood for bed bugs and a fentanyl addiction, this is the place for you. Note that the window locks have been filed down and the chain lock has had th clasp removed. On the plus side, the little desk and chair provided a good makeshift barricade when lodged between the door and the TV stand. I probably would have toughed it out and stayed, but after 10 minutes of being there, I found it hard to breathe. Poor ventilation and mold I assume. I called the cab driver that dropped me off to come pick me back up and take me to Beckley to find a nice place. Can I have my money back since I only made it 10 minutes or is this like those haunted house challenges where the longer I last, the more money I get?

first, when we checked in, the lady saw my credit card and then told us credit card machine was down and we had to go to a third-party web site to pay. I did not know anything about this third-party site, so i was not comfortable put my credit card info out there; so the next day she was waiting at our doorstep to confront us about it. she was going to kick us off property if we did not give her cash right then and there. hmmm, sounds fishey. 2nd our room was not cleaned because of this. 3rd. there were 0 outlets in the bathroom! but our bed was super comfortable.

The plus: I had a room for the night for twenty bucks. In the twenty-first, century, I was able to sleep in a comfortable bed in a room with a bathroom and lock and the door for less than the cost of a hardcover book. The staff was a bit disorganized and didn’t have the room that I reserved, but not a problem, I’d reserved a room with a twin bed and I got a queen. The bed was comfortable, there was a fridge (with a decent-sized freezer which was nice since their ice machine was broken and I was able to make ice for my cooler by putting a plastic bag of water in the freezer. There was, of course, a hexipedal roommate in the bathroom. I pretended not to see it. No soap or shampoo. Grr. No toilet paper. Grr. No towels. Grr. The place overall was quiet, the wifi existed but I got a faster connection over my phone. Not somewhere I would have stayed for more than a night, but as a place to sleep during the course of a long drive, it was adequate.
