Easy scenic drive to many nearby adventure, nature, dining and shopping options.
Private.
Large fenced front yard.
Spacious and contemporary indoors and out, this home away from home is perfect for a group of friends and family.
NO house parties.
Quiet time 11:30 pm

No basement access.
No garage access.
Drawers and doors locked or wrapped in brown string are not accessible.

INTERACTION WITH GUESTS
Owner may be contacted quickly throughout your stay.
Owner lives on premises with his dog Nelly in a stand alone basement apartment with separate entry and yard. He is rarely home and will not access your rented area unless invited.
There is additional parking for RVs etc in the lots next door and across the street.

THINGS TO NOTE
Front door entry combination is supplied before check-in.
Toiletries are in the upstairs hall closet.
A gas grill is on the deck for your use. Guests are asked to clean the grill.
TV with Netflix and Prime (no cable)

The views were fantastic. Most rooms had balcony deck right outside of their doors. Perfect for early morning sunrise viewing with favorite cup of coffee. We live in the city where we don’t fully see stars. So it was a treat to see a full blanket of stars. Even saw a shooting star. There were 8 adults and the house was so spacious that no one felt cramped.Plenty of space for private moments. We are birders and hikers perfect area for those activities.

Comfortable beds, A/C, plenty of warm water and LOTS of space for 8 people, and a well stocked kitchen was exactly what we needed to explore the parks. Very close to Hawks Nest (don't miss their rail trail!) and a short drive to New River Gorge National Park. Perfect layout for 4 couples. Enjoy family dinners around that dining table. Go whitewater rafting with Adventures on the Gorge, eat at Secret Sandwich Society and Pies and Pints in Fayetteville. Explore all of NRG, see the views and enjoy the foliage. Make the drove to Nuttelberg because it is worth it. And the view from the balcony of this house is spectacular! Quiet street right off the main road. Ron is very responsive, a perfect host. Take care of his home that resembles a charming bed and breakfast on the inside.

Great house

A group of 8 of us stayed in the house for our trip to New River Gorge. The location was perfect and gave us options to exploe many different areas other than the Nation's Park. Having 2 living rooms gave everyone plenty of space to relax and the two different porches were nice. Overall, it was clean, comfotable and had everything we needed. Ron was super easy to communicate with and a great host.

Great family vacation

I visited this house with my husband, 4 kids and 2 girlfriends ages 19-26. We had a wonderful trip. The house was great with plenty of room for everyone. It was clean and well maintained. The kids enjoyed Nelly downstairs. It was peaceful and out of the way but only a 20-30 min drive to restaurants and our rafting trip. It was a bit stormy for part of the trip which took out the internet for about 24 hours. This was no fault of Ron's. We did realize at that point that the Netflix TV (which worked fine for us) doesn't work with no internet. We had board games tho so it was fine. I do have to say that this was the first vacation home that stocked books I actually like to read. We liked Fire Creek BBQ, El Banditos, Pies and Pints as well as the Inn by the Kahana falls (sure I spelled that wrong) for restaurants. The Endless Wall hike was great and something a nonathletic 50something could manage. The overlook at Hawks Nest was very nice also. Our rafting trip was an all day through ACE adventures. Cathedral falls was a great sight although it stormed the night before so it was really running. Skip biscuit world. The Mystery Hole was a total tourist trap but it was cheap and the kids liked it. The house was the perfect home base for us.

Fantastic home away from home! Very clean, well stocked and roomy. Property owners were outstanding!

The rental property was excellent and the owners are so easy to communicate with and understanding. The house was very spacious, comfortable and CLEAN. It’s the little things that make it a home away from home…the bed sheets (very soft) and towels are a great quality and the kitchen is nicely stocked. Our stay was very pleasant and enjoyable. Would definitely recommend the property and stay there again if in the area! Loved it!!

Great House, Great Location

This house was wonderful I’m so many ways! Plenty of room for the adults to hang out and carry on and the kids to have their own spaces to do the same. Ron was very kind and helpful! Check in had a bit of a hiccup, which we could have handled better, but Ron was patient and amazing with us! Nelly was a fun surprise that I didn’t catch on the listing. Our kids loved on her and she positioned herself for belly rubs from them! The location was amazing for things our group wanted to do! Would highly recommend for visiting the Gorge and especially for activities like hiking and Adventures on the Gorge! Great to share between two families!

Motorcycle trip

We had THE BEST time! The house was PERFECT and Ron was phenomenal - because I think I kinda bugged him! lol Can't think of anything lacking in our rental except maybe a corn hole game! Haha! We left a mini one there though! Oh and Nelly was so well behaved! Thanks Ron for sharing your home!

Old Friends Getting Together

Perfect location and perfect house for 7 of us coming in from all over the country to enjoy a long weekend of rafting, hiking, food and fun. Ron's home is beautiful and the view was specatular. We enjoyed both the back deck and second floor deck for most of our meals. The house was fully stocked with everything from kitchen and cooking utensils to pleanty of bedding and linens with even an extra closet full of toiletry items. We only needed Ron for a few minor things and he got back to us in minutes. We had an amazing time and a lot of it was due to this wonderful property.

Property was lacking in maintenance. Ice maker and water from refrigerator not working. Coffee maker dirty. Leak in patio door from rainstorm. Not as represented. Expected better mountain view without the dumpster!

Very enjoyable

The property was perfect for 6 of us. The kitchen was well supplied. We really enjoyed sitting on the deck and having dinner out there. The beds were comfortable. The location was great for exploring the New River Gorge area. We hiked our way around the N.P. The white water rafting was a lot of fun.

Nice property on a quiet street and convenient to Fayetteville and other outdoor activities. House was clean and spacious and Ron made it easy for us to enjoy our time in WV. Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed as well.
