The mountains are my happy place, so we booked Gail's place for a quiet getaway for my birthday. We didn't get in until after dark on Friday night so it was such a gift to wake up in the morning and look out the back porch to see the magnificent Peaks of Otter! So unbelievably gorgeous! The little house is quiet, clean, comfortable--perfect for a relaxing trip. It is close to Bedford and the D-Day memorial and the trailheads if you want to hike the Peaks. Gail even provided us with fresh eggs from the chickens we could watch from the deck, and they were delicious! I would definitely stay here again!
The only thing that could be tricky for some guests is that you have to go through the second bedroom to get to the only bathroom, as the house must have been originally built before indoor plumbing and the bathroom was added onto the back of the house later. Not a problem if you are a couple or a close family :)
