Cozy and Homey
This place immediately felt like home. It was so quiet and comfortable, it was the most relaxed I have felt in a long time! It was so nice to just get away and be comfortable in this little house and admire the gorgeous view of the mountains. It's just like in the pictures. The air outside was so fresh and the songs of all the little birds was beautiful. We definitely want to come back here, I already miss it so much! Even the sweet little kitty came to visit us during our morning coffee, it was just like a storybook.

The cottage was equipped with everything you would need it was clean and cozy and had wonderful beds. The area was safe and very historic. I would recommend you to stay here if in the area.

Refreshing & Relaxing
Fancy Farm Cottage was even better than it was listed/pictured. Gail & Bruce were very easy to communicate with and were very helpful. The cottage was comfortable, and we enjoyed being away from the hustle and bustle. It was close enough to take day trips to places like Natural Bridge or the D-Day Memorial, but not too close to civilization. Perfect for resting, relaxing, and refreshing.

We didn't want to leave.
This home was the perfect place for our hiking get a way. The house was well stocked with kitchen essentials, toiletry items, towels and beds made with the coziest of bedding. It is located in close proximity to restaurants, grocery, and all the great hikes around Bedford. The peace and quiet was just what we needed at the end of day as we watched the sunset from the adirondeck chairs place perfectly in the yard. The goats and chickens were a bonus. We will be back!! Be sure to hike Harkening Hill and Apple Orchard Falls!

The best view!
The mountains are my happy place, so we booked Gail's place for a quiet getaway for my birthday. We didn't get in until after dark on Friday night so it was such a gift to wake up in the morning and look out the back porch to see the magnificent Peaks of Otter! So unbelievably gorgeous! The little house is quiet, clean, comfortable--perfect for a relaxing trip. It is close to Bedford and the D-Day memorial and the trailheads if you want to hike the Peaks. Gail even provided us with fresh eggs from the chickens we could watch from the deck, and they were delicious! I would definitely stay here again! The only thing that could be tricky for some guests is that you have to go through the second bedroom to get to the only bathroom, as the house must have been originally built before indoor plumbing and the bathroom was added onto the back of the house later. Not a problem if you are a couple or a close family :)

Beautiful location and perfect cottage
This perfectly appointed cottage will make you want to kick your feet up while enjoying a good book. I loved waking up to a beautiful sunrise, with the chickens and goats stirring just outside the kitchen window. Everything I needed was provided and clean. It is a very clean cottage. There is a beautiful park nearby for hiking, walking, and meeting your kids and pets to run and play called The Peaks at Otter Ridge. There is also a quaint town, Bedford, nearby for restaurants and picking up any items you need. ENJOY!
