「Lovely place by the sea and convenient for water taxis/ access to centre, but unfortunately there is significant property redevelopment occurring right in front of the hotel, causing excessive noise and blighting the views, etc. This is ongoing as of May 2024 and will likely last until at least the end of 2025. This should be mentioned on the property details. A room overlooking the rear of the property was better because of this. 」

「It is a lovely property, reasonably priced with full service restaurant, bar and pool. My room was comfortable and large, staff was really nice, great service. Set on a river and you can experience the howler monkeys. Will come back as it is close enough to the airport for early departures or late arrivals. Can handle large groups but I came here solo, perfectly safe!」

「David, Lincoln and Erica were exceptional! Great recommendations, able to facilitate transportation and help with activities, provided excellent service in an elegant yet homely hotel. Water taxi’s are walking distance away, as well as shopping/grocery and restaurant options. WiFi and AC work great. Highly recommend. 」

「The room was clean. The hotel owner/manager could do a better job of greeting customers. Parking is good. Price is reasonable. This has been my go to hotel for the past 10 years whenever I visit Belize. 」

「I am glad I was able to end my vacation at the gecko bungalow. Michelle made sure that everything was taken care of with the multiple shuttles to and from the airport. The bungalow was an oasis and I was very glad to get to experience it with my first trip to Belize. Michelle and Scott made it feel like another home away from home. Definitely looking forward to coming back! 😀」

「Facility is okay at best, needs general upkeep to be completed. Painting would be helpful, garbage pickup around the property is needed. The pool is nice but the deck fencing around the pool needs to be repaired as part of it is down. You need a car to get anywhere. We like to walk but we really couldn’t because it is located off of a highway with no safe place for anyone to walk. The picture of the place is deceiving , it doesn’t really show the actual building your staying in, it shows a...
