Waterfront- Modern Luxurious Cabin on Clam Lake – Torch Lake Boating

"Our stay had both positives and significant challenges. The home itself is attractive with beautiful views and in a good location, but unfortunately our first night was extremely uncomfortable because the AC was not working during a period of excessive heat. Sleeping without AC made the home difficult to enjoy. When we notified the host (Upon arrival) that the AC wasn't working, they were able to arrange for an HVAC technician to come the following day, but the earliest available appointment was after 4:00 pm. Since we would have been without AC until then and we had 4 kids during excessive heat, my husband and his HVAC friend ultimately spent about three hours diagnosing and repairing the system so we could comfortably continue our vacation. Adding to the heat there are no blinds on the windows, having blinds would have helped keep the heat as well as morning light out. Upon arrival we also had to clean the front porch it was littered with pine needles after the storm and didn't leave a good first impression. While the BBQ was nice there were no BBQ tools that we could find. The lake was nice but really not swimmable in my opinion we made the best of it though. I also recommend contacting the host via text as they suggest, because messaging them through VRBO resulted in delayed responses. To their credit they did ultimately reimburse us for the one night's stay which was appreciated. That effort to make things right factored into this review."

Cottage on TORCH LAKE! July 18-25 Open!

"Beautiful spot on Torch Lake. Owner was very helpful with any questions. House had everything you could need for cooking and relaxing and ample spots for families to gather together. Beds very comfortable. So nice to have boats and jet skis available to rent right from the house. The paddleboards and kayaks provided hours of entertainment when the lake was calm. The sunsets were out of this world. Just can’t say enough good things about this spot and the fantastic week we had. Two of our children are late teens and I feel our vacations together may not be the same much longer but this is one we will remember forever with fondness."

"Kristi is a fabulous host, going above and beyond any expectations! The house is in a peaceful, quiet location yet not far from area attractions. It is comfortable and well-stocked. Having access to the canoe and a short walk to the river was a highlight for us. We had a fantastic time during our first visit to northern Michigan and would definitely book this place again. Highly recommend, 5 stars, 2 thumbs up!"

The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and thoughtfully decorated, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The hosts were incredibly kind and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was delicious, with fresh, homemade dishes that were the perfect start to each day."
