This was a beautiful small hotel. Rooms were decent size for Italy, clean, well apointed and cozy. We only stayed one night, because the mattress was hard as a rock and the pillows were slim and hard. The other reason was because it was uncomfortably warm in our room and they didn’t have air conditioning. the week before had been a cold spell and they had changed the system over to heating. No A/C in entire hotel. It was at least 80 in our room. We tried to open the patio door, but the loud sound of the waves lapping on the shore all night wouldn’t allow sleep. Woke up sore and miserable, so promptly checked out and went elsewhere. But to be fair, the breakfast was amazing, the restaurant on site overlooks the lake, and is a beautiful setting for dinner. The hotel is a short 2 min. walk to the quaint downtown and multiple restaurants and ferry. The staff was warm and welcoming and were earnest and upset that we didn’t know or weren’t told about the a/c issue. They could’ve gotten us a fan and it would’ve been fine, but there wasn’t any fixing that super firm mattress.

The hotel is set in a beautiful spot right on the lake. I like the fact you can park your car here for 15e per day. The adjacent restaurant is very good with outstanding views. The real negative was our room. I think we got put into a bad room (#9) and it had several issues. The climate control was awful and unbearably hot. The shower (handicap) is a mess and water floods all over the bathroom floor. The bed was two twins put together, not comfortable. Very few amenities in this room. We booked based on great reviews but left disappointed. Other rooms might be ok but I think our room was misrepresented on their website. The staff was nice, polite and welcoming. I would just avoid room #9 in the future.

The mountain views from the balcony in our room were spectacular and the staff was kind and helpful. Wonderful dinner on the terrace with great wine. The included breakfast was a nice way to get the day started too.

Fabulous walkable location with lake swimming access, hot tub, and views of Lake Como from our balcony. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was varied and plentiful with great views. And we had a great dinner in the restaurant one night. Bellano is a lovely town with a beautiful promenade that is less crowded than the larger touristy towns on the lake, but a short walk to ferry if you want to visit other towns.

Nice hotel

My wife and I generally enjoyed our stay at Meridiana hotel. The staff clearly puts in a lot of effort to make their guests’ experience as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. I also really appreciated the staff booking massages and organizing our departure taxi for us. Hotel is conveniently located (only 5 min walk from ferry stop and most restaurants in Bellano). There were a couple of relatively minor issues that popped up during our stay. Most notably - the balcony door was not locking properly. Normally wouldn’t care too much about this but given we had a 1st floor room, this was a potential safery hazard. Also would be helpful if reception can be fully staffed until 10pm-11pm to help with late arrivals (rather than 8pm). Overally, good value compared to some of the much pricier options in Lake Como.

We loved our stay, this was a perfect location on Lake Como, it had the ferry access in walking distance, the small town of Bellano is gorgeous and had a spectacular gorge with water falls and natural beauty. Our room was big enough, had a small balcony on the lake with tremendous views. The sound of the lake waters crashing was nice in the evening. The hotel restaurant is small and inviting, they did a great job of taking care of their guests first with amazing food! If you are looking for a perfect Lame Como stay, I would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Fantastic Bellano Stay

Fantastic stay. Angelo and Stephano were amazing and really looked after us. Some of the best staff we have come across. Location was great. Most locations were crazy busy but Bellano was alot quieter which was welcome. At the time there was a food and music festival which was great and very local family orientated. Hotel was great. Never had a better view eating breakfast and was nice to have private beach attached along with kayaks. Would definitely return.
