We really enjoyed our stay at the villa, which was lovely and provided everything we needed for our party of seven. It was a comfortable base for relaxing and exploring the surrounding area.We found the villa difficult to locate on arrival, despite having the address. A ‘What3Words’ location would be a really useful addition. Aldi was very close by and there were several restaurants within a few minutes’ drive. We found having a car essential, particularly as some roads have no pavements and the villa is on quite a steep hill. This wasn’t obvious from the online information and may be important for guests with limited mobility, so including accessibility/gradient information would be helpful.We experienced a few issues during our stay. There was a strong smell of gas on arrival, which was concerning, although the out-of-hours service quickly helped us turn it off and resolve the problem. The upstairs fuse box had also tripped, leaving us initially without lights or air-con, but this was quickly resolved.Other minor issues included lots of mosquitoes, noisy crickets, ants inside and outside, and a leaking air-con unit in the upstairs twin room (repaired the same day we reported it). The downstairs oven was also missing its temperature knob, and there was a shortage of knives and spoons.Despite these issues, we had a lovely holiday and enjoyed the villa. Most problems were resolved when reported, and a few small improvements could make it an even better place to stay.
