Although recently reported as renovated, the work to do so was quite poor in my opinion. My TV only worked every 10 minutes and was quite old. Bathroom mirror light did not work, no bath fan. The room furnishings were outdated. My door to the hall did not fit the opening very well and you could see through to the hallway from the room. Very unpleasant odors from time to time. On the other hand the location is very good, staff was nice, breakfast was decent, and the price was reasonable. Such a shame because the area is great and the opportunity for this hotel thrive is very good. Not sure I would stay there again.

The person at the sdesk was friendly and gave me what I thought was a nice room at the end of the hall with a view of the lake. It's cool that there's a balcony you can go out on, but there were no screens so you couldn't really leave the door open for fresh air. I sat down and turned on the TV and all I got was static. I was able to use my ipad for watching a show so I didn’t call for service. I really didn’t want anyone in my room in the evening. When I went to take a shower, ai couldn't get any hot water. It didn’t even get warm, just not ice cold after running thw water and testing the adjustments for more than 10 minutes. The back hallway to the back big parking lot was kind of creepy. Also, the lock for that door at night is like a chain lock, so if you were out after they lock the door, you would have to go around the building to the front entrance.

Big gaps between floor and door to the room. Walked into the room with the air blasting 75 which isn’t very pleasant as the room was kind of wet feeling. Clean otherwise and the balcony was nice. Breakfast was super basic. Not my favorite stay but on a last minute trip it worked. The view was nice also!

We had a pleasant stay at the Silver Beach Hotel. We understood going in that the hotel has experienced some damage in the past and is in the process of being restored to higher standards, and our expectations were set accordingly. The location is excellent and truly one of the highlights. Our room was simple but clean, which we appreciated. We especially loved that there was no carpet in the room — a big plus. The beds were neat, clean, and comfortable, making for a good night’s rest. The staff was kind, respectful, and welcoming throughout our stay. One area for improvement would be being a bit more informed about local events and what’s happening around town, which would be helpful for guests. We did experience some issues with the TV and internet, but overall it did not take away from our experience. With continued updates and improvements, this hotel has great potential, and we would consider staying again.

Room was not well maintained. Bathroom doors were coming off their hinges and wouldn’t lock. Gym was run down to the point of being unusable. Treadmill was broken and the elliptical needed a tuneup. We went during the off season so weren’t expecting much but did expect amenities to all work.
