Alpine cabins and most wholesome food

Berat is a UNESCO treasure, so it is a must see place. Castle Park is similar to a Bavarian cabin atmosphere. It is located across the river from walled city and castle, so it is quite an uphill hike to see the fortress. The lady at the desk kept telling us to leave our car at the bottom of the hill and walk across the ancient bridge. It was all uphill from there. Breakfast here was amazing. Everything was farm fresh, wait staff were very friendly and informative. Distance from the main attraction is the only caveat especially in 90 degree weather.

Pleasent stay in Berat

Our stay at Castle Park was top! We spent two lovely nights here. Our room was spacious, confortable and clean. The hotel is located on the top of a hill, sorrounded by trees and beatiful nature. The staff was very helpful and kind. Traditional breakfast with delicious albanian products. We enjoyed our stay very much and i highly recommend this place! We will definitely be back in the future!

Situé en haut d'une colline dominant Bérat. Accueil très chaleureux. Chambre spacieuse et propre et confortable. Restauration de très bonne qualité (petit-déjeuner et diner). Très bon rapport qualité-prix.

Ett ovanligt och spännande boende, dock håller inte hotellet den standard välkomnandet ger sken av. Hotellet är otroligt vackert, lokalerna är gammaldags spektakulära, personalen vänlig och hjälpsam, men köket presterar inte vad som utlovas. Frukosten är tämligen slätstruken, snarast trist. Middagen ospännande och fantasilös. Trist, när första intrycket vid incheckning är WOW, men snart blir man besviken. Tyvärr!

Dette hotellet ligger for seg selv på en høyde med utsikt over byen. Det har egen restaurant og betjeningen er veldig vennlige og serviceinnstilt. Det er en fin gåtur til sentrum med spisesteder og muligheter for å utforske byen. Madrassen på vårt rom var ikke så god, den var hard og fjæringen var ikke bra. Ellers var rommet stort med egen balkong.

Castle on the hill

The hotel is absolutely great, the area is wonderful. It is at the top of the hill with beautiful view of Berat in the most serene and pictirusque area, very tranquil and relaxing. But service need to be improved. First of all, I paid for the booking back in September with wire transfer. When I arrived they did not have clue that it was paid, and I had to wait until they verified. Secondly, the description of the hotel states that they provide laundry service. When I gave them laundry it was returned to me wet and not dried. They just washed it but neglected the fact that laundry need to be dried before returning back to the guest. Also the description states free wifi but wifi does not work in the room at all. It works only in the restaurant but with very poor signal.Those small details make a lot of change in overall guest satisfaction. But other then that I liked the area most and the room.

Beware

Do not book the Castle Park hotel unless you are content not to receive the room you are expecting. The junior staff are really helpful, but you cannot access the hotel after midnight they close the gates so there is no access.

Huone erittäin siisti ja hiljainen. Kaikki toimi hyvin ja saniteettitilat oikein hyvät. Päärakennuksen ravintola tyylikäs hieman aristokraattinen. Ainoa meille sattunut miinusmerkintä poli, kun maksettaessa hotellin nettiyhteys ei toiminut ja jouduttiin maksamaan käteisellä. Ilmeisesti se kuitenkin oli vain tilapäinen häiriö eikä hidastanut meidän suunnitelmiamme.

hôtel à priori sympathique mais personnel incompétent: la personne à la réception n'a pas trouvé notre réservation. De surcroît elle ne savait pas se servir du terminal CB, résultat: un double encaissement à l'arrivée. Prétextant que ces 2 opérations n'aient pas abouti, il nous a été réclamé un 3e paiement en liquide lors du départ === 1 nuitée payée 3x le prix ! Quiétude des lieux perturbée par le chien du propriétaire et par de la musique du voisinage une partie de la nuit. Fraîcheur des produits du petit dej discutable. Plus globalement, nous avons eu l'impression de passer au 2nd plan de leurs préoccupations..

Nice hotel outside of town

The hotel is a little distance from town (up the mountain), but the location is very nice if you want to relax. They offer activities such as white water rafting. The staff were great! The checkin is actually at th restaurant, and as they weren't busy it took a little bit to check in.The rooms are good and clean. I would de return!

Great place to stay

We just stayed for one night but would love to have stayed for longer. Alma, the owner, is welcoming and involved in the service. The rafting goes from this hotel. It's true that Castle Park is quite a walk from the centre of Berat, however it is a good place to relax. The rooms are spacious and the restaurant was good. Alma said that she would work out transport to/from Berat centre or for day trips for people without their own transport. The hotel is on the edge of a pine forest, south west of the historic centre. There is parking at the hotel and great views of Berat a few minutes' drive away. In terms of value, it cost more than we usually pay for places to stay in Albania but that's probably a reflection of Berat being more touristy plus Castle Park rooms are generous in size. (Our double room had a double bed and a single bed, so could potentially sleep a child with parents.)

Best choice in Berat

A wonderfully located hotel with a brilliant dining room and absolutely stunning views. It is a good walk or a car ride into town (and get a taxi up to the castle) by well worth it.
