Great Hotel for a stay in Bergen

Really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is centrally located and convenient to all the restaurants and bars from the area. The hotel itself was really comfortable and cosy to return to from a days out walking in the cold. Rooms clean, breakfast plentiful with plenty of fresh and cooked offerings. Would definitely recommend, and would stay here again if I returned

The property is lovely and has tremendous character. The staff was amazingly helpful. They gave us great dining suggestions, got us boat tickets, and told us the best sites. I would stay there again.

So it is a nice hotel, the rooms were nice and it is in a great area of Bergen. However the breakfast was not very good and it just seems that they miss the mark in all they do. I wouldnt go back

The best hotel in Bergen. The fragrance they spray in the lobby is divine. They have beautiful classical music playing for breakfast and in the evenings. Breakfast was gorgeous and our room was very luxe. Valet for the hire car was really convenient.

Location was fantastic. I paid $2000 Kron to upgrade to room with view. Unfortunately, the room was above the entrance door where many people stand and smoke cigarettes. The upgraded room was also small.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms aren't as big as I thought they would be, but I was traveling alone, so it didn't really bother me. The customer service however was amazing. I had accidentally left my phone at the lobby and didn't realise until I had reached the airport. My taxi driver was able to contact the lobby and they arranged for another taxi to bring my phone to me. Very helpful, would definitely recommend.

We stayed at The Eilert Smith Hotel in Stavanger and Opus in Bergen, and although both are owned by the same group, what a world of difference in customer experience. Eilert Smith staff went out of their way to do anything they could for us. Opus was like any big hotel, made the reservations if you asked, but did not respond to any texts or messages, even though they said they were available 24/7. Staff esp one lady just seemed like she couldn’t handle even reservations efficiently or understand. Seemed to be scrambling and unsure. Anyway, just an ordinary experience. Not great or extraordinary like The Eilert Smith Hotel in Stavanger. Also breakfast at Opus was okay, not great. Quality of food just okay.
