5/5 - Excellent
Bergerac is absolutely charming, with enough to keep you in its thrall whether you remain in town, or decide to travel further afield to enjoy the surrounding countryside with its beautiful villages and chateaux.

A great place!

Lovely town with old streets and squares with lots of restaurants. Boat trip on the river was pleasant and refreshing. Car hire from the airport was easy, straightforwards and not scarey, as drive out is onto quiet roads.
I would recommend the gabare trip on the Dordogne, the Euzkadi and Villa Laetitia restaurants and the Plus Que Parfait pub.
