Deerwood Cabin on Lake Gogebic

Lovely cabin with 100 feet of lake front on beautiful Lake Gogebic, the largest in-land lake in the U.P. Amazing lake views from the cabin, wraparound deck and firepit. New dock, jet ski lift and boat lift (3600lb capacity V-hull boats only, not suitable for pontoons) available for your use June through September. Perfect place for a family get-away!

Access ATV and snowmobile trails right from the property. Ski hills and Lake Superior within 25 miles. Lake Gogebic famous for fishing and is central to many area attractions including the Porcupine Mountains, Copper Peak, waterfalls and more! Beautiful Fall colors abound! Winter Wonderland! Ultimate Summer Vacation!

Enjoy the bald eagles as they pass over the cabin all Summer long. Catch the sunrise from the dock and experience the eagles flying overhead, swooping down to catch the early morning fish on a clear, calm lake. Hear the loons calling at night (or even during the day). We even have a couple of foxes that like to visit from time to time. Hiking, biking, waterfalls, ATV trails, world class fishing, Lake Gogebic has it all.

Snowmobiling Super Spot

This is a great spot right on the lake. The house has a large drive which is great for trucks and trailers.Emily was very accommodating when making the reservation and answered my questions very quickly. I’d highly recommend this property.

Wonderful Vacation

Our stay at this cottage was wonderful! The cottage is beautiful, very clean and was fully stocked with anything we could think of to need. We enjoyed a week of swimming, kayaking and fishing. It was a great location for several day trips to surrounding areas. We would definitely stay here again! Emily was great to work with on this rental.

Annual Snowmobile Trip

We have stayed here two years in a row and plan to stay here again next year. Everything you could ask for in a property. Super clean, well stocked with lots of extras, and a great central home base to go snowmobiling in any direction you want depending on snow conditions.

Friends Snowmobile Trip

The Deerwood Cabin on Lake Gogebic is a great place to stay for a snowmobile trip. We had 8 total people and there was plenty of space. We had 4 trucks with trailers and they fit no problem. Would definitely stay here again. Easy access to the lake and snowmobile trails.

Love Deerwood Cabin and Lake Gogebic

This is our 2nd stay at Deerwood Cabin and once again it was a wonderful place to stay on our favorite lake. The cabin was very clean, well-furnished and has most anything you would need with many little extras. In spite of not great weather during our week, we had decent fishing, kayaked, swam and on rain days took day trips to Ironwood, Houghton, the Porkies and Ontonogan, Minoqua and Boulder Junction. Loved having both a deck and covered porch!

Favorite Place

We have come here for several years now and always have a great time. The place is spotless, including the grill. We really love the boat lift with the remote control. The hosts are the nicest people. If you need anything, they will go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. All of the appliances are top notch. Plus you are out on the lake. Excellent!
