「The Red Star Cottage did not disappoint. Great spot for a small group of friends looking to get away from the city noise. The lake was great for our dog to swim and play and the paddle boat and row boat were out too. Pre season, so it was too chilly for us humans to swim. But lake was clean and sandy bottom! 「Gorgeous place! 」

「The Castaway Resort was exactly what I was looking for. Quiet, clean and cozy. My views of Croton Dam Pond were fabulous and I even got to see some Baltimore Orioles. I went for a week of solitude to spend time weaving on my little workshop loom. I had the peace and quiet I needed to concentrate. The Hosts, Bob and Joy were 100% available and accommodating, and my sweet dog Poppy was completely welcomed. I would definitely return. I'm thinking maybe in the fall when kids are back in...

「I do not think the pictures actually do this home justice. The views are amazing. There is so much space for kids and adults. The screened in porch was so amazing. The whole family loved swimming and using diving boards. The home was clean and stocked. Very happy with our experience. It was very private and relaxing. 5 」

「Everything was exactly as described. The area is beautiful and it has what you need. The bathroom is small but they showed that in the pics. I needed a certain pan and host brought it right to me. Peaceful, nice spot」

「My family enjoyed the quiet comfort of the Marigold cottage. The open floor plan was nice, and it was great having a large dining table and Keurig coffee maker. Our only issue was sleeping space: The bunk bed room was only big enough for the bed itself so we had to move some furniture around, and we couldn't pull the trundle bed out in the living room without moving the TV stand, so we had to improvise. The fish were biting off the shore and dock, however, so we were happy!」

「This was our 3rd time staying here, tons of fun every time. Cabin has everything you need and more. Fishing is great, pontoon is a huge bonus, kayaks are a blast, even had 2 kids kayaks that our 9 year old loved」

「Property was as described in the listing. Everything felt safe and clean upon arrival. The dock is a huge bonus if you want to enjoy the lake, my son and I caught 112 fish including a 6 lb largemouth for my son his personal best. The time off the lake was great with the large windows and the cabin gave us a nice place to ride out some weather, complete a puzzle and enjoy family time. Would definitely book again. 」

「Wonderful home on beautiful Big Star. House was clean with everything you need for a fun family weekend away. We were able to put our boat in the water and leave it in for the weekend. The driveway and parking was able to accommodate boat trailer and multtiple vehicles. 」
