"The staff were outstanding. They were helpful and accommodating that we didn’t speak French. The food was excellent and decently priced. There needs to be some maintenance and upkeep. Some was done and some was not. They need new mattresses. Some of the thinner ones had mold on the bottom. Probably not uncommon on the water. They were decently comfortable but aging. What isn’t listed in hotels.com was we had to make and strip all of Our beds. They gave us a laundry bag to put all sheets and towels in. Then we had to carry those to the laundry area and take our trash to the dumpsters. There was an offer for you to pay for the cleaning. None of this was aa difficult it just was not listed in the initial reservations. The location is unbeatable."

"If you are looking for somewhere to stay near the D-Day beaches, look no further! Bénédicte and Marc are the perfect hosts and La Musardière is a lovely place to stay. Marc was very proactive with communication and we received excellent instructions on how to get to the property. Bénédicte and Marc met us on our arrival and gave us a warm welcome, together with some Normandy specialities (apple juice, cider, biscuits, Isigny caramels). We also had a very helpful briefing on the area including restaurant recommendations.The cottage is very well equipped and has a modern kitchen and bathrooms. Outside is a beautiful garden, which is really nice for enjoying a drink or just a quiet, peaceful moment. On our last evening, Marc offered us a tasting of the local Calvados.I thoroughly recommend this property, you won’t be disappointed! Thank you Bénédicte and Marc, you made our week very special and memorable."

The house is located.4 miles from Omaha beach, an easy walk. Marc also provided info on restaurants and every amenity we needed. The care and correspondence made us fill like we were dealing with family. I would definitely rent the home again and recommend to anyone. We felt very fortunate to have found such a gem."
