Great hotel in the charming old city. Very walkable. I would definitely go back. Only reason the amenities got 4 stars is because there was no coffee in the room, but the cafe downstairs mostly made up for it. The hairdryer had a diffuser- which is a big plus for my curly hair! Staff was wonderful and spoke English and were patient with me as I practiced my Spanish.

As a solo traveler in Bilbao for the first time, I enjoyed my 3 night stay here. The location is ideal, in my opinion, and the staff were smiley and easygoing. My room was on the top floor, 406, and there was only a skylight (or sky window) and no other windows, so it felt a bit strange but it wasn’t a dealbreaker for me since plenty of light still came through. Some drawbacks: the walls are very thin; the elevator is extremely slow; and you should definitely make sure that if you’re staying at this hotel with someone that you two are very comfortable around each other because there is ZERO bathroom privacy in the rooms 😅

Only thing is that bathroom was missing some minor basics as towel hanger, etc. as we were given a room adapted for disabled, shower was not separate from bathroom which meant all the floor got wet. More towels or ways of drying should be provided - again, minor

LETÔH LETÔH Bilbao logra capturar perfectamente la nueva energía cosmopolita de Bilbao. Ubicado en pleno Casco Viejo, el hotel mezcla una estética boutique contemporánea con una atmósfera cálida, íntima y cuidadosamente curada. La arquitectura interior apuesta por contrastes oscuros, iluminación ambiental, madera, metal negro y espacios que se sienten más cercanos a un social club creativo europeo que a un hotel convencional. La planta baja funciona como extensión natural de la vida del barrio: café, home office, viajeros, diseño y movimiento constante dentro de un espacio relajado y visualmente impecable. Afuera, el Casco Viejo termina de construir la experiencia. Calles llenas de gastronomía vasca, pintxos, wine bars, cafeterías, postres y pequeños comercios que convierten cada caminata en parte del viaje. Todo increíblemente limpio, seguro y lleno de vida. Las vistas desde los balcones, entre fachadas urbanas y callejones estrechos, le dan al lugar una atmósfera cinematográfica y profundamente europea. Como detalle adicional, incluir cafetera y frigobar en las habitaciones elevaría todavía más una experiencia que, fuera de eso, resulta excepcional.

Clean room and comfortable. Staff was very accommodating since they assisted every time needed. We checked in a few hours before the estipulated time and gave us the room as soon as ready (12 pm). Staff helped us with the follow up with the airline that lost our bags and were always very nice

Ok - so the location is the only thing going for this hotel. Other than that - nothing. It’s pretty rundown, halls smell, hair in the corners of the room, bed is so small, pillows aren’t comfortable & flat but the AC is great! There’s no mini-fridge, no snacks, no microwave, no washcloths, no washcloths. There are NO amenities. I had arranged beforehand for extra pillows for my brother because of a cancer/surgery issue & he can’t lay down flat or could suffocate… the young girl at the desk said “No. Maybe tomorrow.” Seriously? That’s not ok and they were leaving the next day. I asked them to put my meds in the fridge and my meds carrier in the freezer, when I asked for them they gave me luke warm meds and said they didn’t have my frozen travel case, not ok, it takes 22 hours for me to get home and hundreds of dollars in meds are trashed now. I asked for help with a reservation, she said she couldn’t reach them & just show up. Again, not ok, same young girl, we were turned away from many places for “no reservations.” Then we asked for a taxi early AM, same helpless girl, said none were available because of a “festival,” so I asked for a private driver - again no - and told me to try Uber, seriously. But when we left in the morning the taxis were out front so she just didn’t try to set it up I guess. Stay at TAYKO BILBOA instead, it was flawless our first 2 days, exceptional hospitality. And definitely ask for earplugs, it’s a noisy corner in the heart of the party!
