We had a great experience at Petit Palace Tamarises. The staff were very nice and helpful and the breakfast was amazing. Lots of selection of well cooked savory and sweet. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom is modern with many amenities. Parking along the street was also easy to find, and the convenient location on the beach made for a beautiful sunrise. Can’t recommend enough!

The hotel is in a great location just by the beach. There is plenty of parking in the surrounding area. The hotel staff are extremely friendly, especially at the reception and during breakfast. Enya was really awesome! However, the hotel needs further renovation and refurbishment, as its age is starting to show.

Great view

Excellent view of the Bay of Biscay. Extremely gracious staff. Breakfast buffet was standard fare. Car park holds only 7 and costs additional. Great beach and breakwater for exercise.

Nice little beach front hotel. I wish we had booked a beach facing room. The view would have been amazing, I’m sure. Our only drawback was the lack of usb ports available in the room to charge phones etc. These are pretty standard in hotels now and the lack of even one port was unusual.

Great location right on the beach, and close to some places to eat. Good eco credentials. Breakfast choices could have been a little better and perhaps a few more staff. Also would be worth letting guests know about parking before hand, we didn't know we had to reserve paying in the car park, but in the end on street parking using the app was really easy and cheap. Maybe some printed instructions that can be given to guests in the relevant language would be worth looking into.

Loved all of it. We had the oceanfront room and it was definitely worth the extra money. The area is so relaxing and quaint. Narrow streets with shops and places to eat to explore. The area is small and quiet. Easy access to the subway into Bilbao.

Lovely Stay

Fatima and Lucia amazing ladies at reception. They made us feel welcome and as if we were at home. Now ENYA was superb she greeted us every morning before are morning coffee and we actually got to know her as a person. Very kind and responsible. She must be promoted and given a salary increase as soon as possible. She’s a keeper. People like her make your business shine!

We stayed for 4 days and expected to have a good experience based on the most recent reviews. You have to pay for parking the hotel doesn’t have free parking so you can pay for parking on the street not a huge deal. I asked for ice and was told they don’t have an ice machine except she didn’t say they have a small machine in their breakfast area. We found a roach in the second to last day on the first level, yuk. Our shower wouldn’t drain and when we asked for service they said it would have to be the next day. When the guy came he just used some liquid but that probably needed to have stuff removed. That night, not sure if related we had around 2-3am sewer gasses in our room. We had to open the front door and the balcony. I believe it was coming from the AC since I didn’t really smell it in the bathroom. Not a great experience unfortunately.
