For Can Tho, the largest city in Vietnam's Mekong Delta area, I booked a day tour with Susan, a 26-year-old woman (with perfect English!) from a nearby village. For four hours we biked around Binh Minh (just outside of Can Tho), where we visited beautiful temples, rice fields, and a local market. We then went back to the riverside location for a night in a homestay. I would highly recommend booking with Susan for an authentic Mekong Delta experience. Fresh fruit galore at this local #market just outside of Can Tho. It's worth going outside of the city for a more authentic experience, and it's so fun being the only tourist somewhere!
About 30 minutes from Can Tho city, is a small Khmer village called Ap Phu Ly. The village, populated with the most friendly people, has a strikingly beautiful Khmer temple - Chau Phu Ly 2. Completely different from other temples seen in Vietnam, it is so worth paying this place a visit!

Very nice homestay. The address is not very easy to find on google map, but the host gave clear instruction and was always there to help me with any questions. My family found the house very cute and comfortable with the garden. Recommended!
