The apartment looks bright in pictures. Far from it in reality. It’s damp and cold. There is mould, too. I arrived early on the day of check in. I called to find out if I could enter the apartment before 3:00 pm. I was told that the apartment was being refreshed for me. There was no one “refreshing” the apartment. When I entered it, the place smelled of dampness. It was all a performance. The initial contact and subsequent conversations were with a chatbot. In fact, I was never sure if I communicated with a machine of a human. Whoever thought that talking to an algorithm was a good idea?
