We do know that mattress preference is unique to each guest and while we try to accommodate all guests' comfort, mattress taste is subjective. We're sorry the mattress didn't meet your preferences. The futon has been used numerous times by guests and they have all shared compliments about its comfort for one person. Shared from the owners: "Dear Dorothy, we take feedback seriously and appreciate it when guests can let us know if they find something wrong while staying at our home that is special to us. Thus far we have not had any reports of ants in our home either by our guests or our cleaning crew. Perhaps this was a one-time incident but we have not since found any ants or else we would treat them. As for the beds sagging it would be helpful to know which one you are referring to since we have not had any reports of this either. The mattresses are fairly new on the beds and this report was unexpected, but we will look into this of course! Having a saggy mattress is not acceptable. As for the pillows, I replace those often as I have found some guests tend to take them, unfortunately. I will be sure to check those as well since we now have started labeling the tags to make sure they have not been substituted with pillows guests bring from home. The plugs have been replaced per your letting us know. This is not something we would ordinarily check for but it certainly would be a safety hazard. As always, we count on our guests to inform us of any problems they find and hope they will give us the opportunity to make corrections to make their stay pleasant and safe."

Hi Laura, we're glad that you enjoyed this home overall, but sorry your stay got off to a rocky start. - We confirmed that we sent you an email with check-in information one month before your arrival and again three days before. We also resent this email immediately after hearing from Vrbo on your day of arrival. - All instructions state to reach out to the guest contact at least 48 hours before arrival to receive your door code. - The homeowner, who is also the local contact, confirmed that she did not hear from you at all until you were attempting to check-in. - We are sorry for any confusion. We encourage future guests to thoroughly review the pre-stay email when they first receive it to ensure they are prepared for their trip and will have no issues at arrival.
