"I have stayed at Dakota several times over the years and it genuinely continues to improve every time. The staff are always lovely and accommodating, especially the reception team. Amber is excellent and Stella is lovely too. The food is also amazing. I had the fillet steak for dinner with leek and Gruyère gratin and a Caesar salad, and the next day I ordered another Caesar salad for lunch because it was that good. The bath is an absolute godsend, and the bed and pillows are incredibly soft. Sometimes they can be a little too soft, where it feels like you are sinking in, but the bed I had on this occasion was perfect. It was like sleeping on a cloud. One small practical note: if you are bringing a Fire Stick, connecting it via HDMI can be a bit of a faff. I would recommend bringing an extension lead, or just asking maintenance for help as they are very helpful and will sort it for you. Overall, another brilliant stay. Dakota remains one of my favourite places to switch off, rest and feel looked after."

"Slow and clunky check in. Didn’t know I needed ID for this either - luckily I had my licence on me. Also issues with card machines not working. Directions to the room were poor. I was left with a couple who were equally confused. Finally found our part of the hotel. Mental it is so close to the first building but poor directions and signage made it seem more difficult than it should have been. The room itself was good. Decent size comfy bed. Shame no kettle but there was a smart tv and hair dryer. Shower was pretty powerful too which I liked. Hotel location is great and I would stay again - now I know where all the hotel is!"

"A room fridge would have been nice. Being able to keep the bathroom door open would also have been nice. I want to play the lobby's display guitars! Why put strings on them if we can't play them? (No one likes a tease! 😆) Very cozy and comfortable, though. An easy walk to the city centre and the train station - so convenient!"

"The hotel is in a good location. When we got there to check in, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Check in was easy. The room we stayed in, was very spacious and clean. The bed was really comfortable, we had a lounge area, where we was able to relax, complementary drinks and chocolate in the mini fridge, which was very thoughtful. Would definitely recommend staying here, we are already looking at booking for later in the year for another event."
