Nestled near the base of the majestic Mt. Blanca, there stands a beautiful farmhouse that exudes a sense of warmth and comfort. The house boasts a long front patio surrounded by mountain and long valley plains. The kitchen, equipped with appliances and a dining table, has great views through its large windows of both the Hemp and Alfafa fields.
The bedrooms are equally charming, with plush beds, soft linens and cozy, inviting atmospheres. The spacious master offers bedroom windows that overlook the mountains, offering a memorable view.
Outside, the farm is a spacious 110 fenced-in acres, perfect for hiking, long walks and outdoor relaxation.
Enjoy hummingbird sightings, In the evenings, as you sit back and relax on the front porch, savoring the tranquility and natural beauty that surrounds you. The stars twinkle brilliantly in the night sky and nocturnal creatures fill the air, creating a peaceful and serene ambiance.
In short, this beautiful farmhouse at the base of the mountains is a true haven of peace and tranquility, a place where one can escape the hustle and bustle of the city and reconnect with peace and nature.

Excellent place to stay, especially if you like a rural stay. Perfect for seeing attractions in southern San Luis Valley, such as the Sand Dunes. Large and comfortable. Dog friendly. Big area to walk dogs. Property manager was very responsive and helpful. Kitchen and bar was very well stocked. Including items I would not expect, such as cooking oil, spices, and condiments. Beds were comfortable. We would stay here again.

Reed was welcoming and provided a good overview of property. We enjoyed walking to see the cows & the donkey named Donkey! We spent a lot of time on the front porch enjoying the view & quietness of the area and at the kitchen table playing games.

WOW! We loved our stay here! House was big and inviting. The kids loved the farm and the farm animals. Plenty of room for the kids to run around and even hit the golf balls. Very quiet at night to sit on the front porch and the views are amazing!

Peace & Quiet

The house was neat and quiet,each room had its own unique feeling of peace and relaxation. The country kitchen was awesome, and bar/family room was cozy. Enjoyed ping pong as well. The host was fabulous amazing intriguing and fun. We partied we saw the whole ranch, played with cows horses and dog. Unique location unique host. Must stay VRBO again.

Fabulous sand dunes birthday

A large group of my family with multiple children stayed here for my son’s birthday trip to the Dunes. There was plenty of room for everyone. The surrounding property is lovely to go for a walk and explore. Lots of games and activities to keep the kids happy-they even helped feed the cows which they loved! A fairly close drive to the dunes (under 30 minutes). The host lives on the property next door and was incredibly helpful and responsive.

Good home base for Great Sand Dunes

This property was a perfect home base for our family's trip to Great Sand Dunes National Park. Communication prior to arrival could have been better. I messaged the property owner via the VRBO app the day before check-in and then texted the morning of our arrival because I hadn't received any check-in instructions. Onsite property manager Reed was friendly and welcoming and quick to share helpful tips about the area.

mid week get away to visit college kids

We had a lovely stay at the farmhouse. Our host was inviting and prompt on arrival. Communication with host/owners was fantastic. The home was very cozy and could sleep a lot of people! Our dogs enjoyed walks on the property and also seeing the cows. Beautiful sunrises over Mount Blanca could be seen from the property/ and windows. Thanks for a great stay!

This property is a great location for visits to the Sand Dunes, Alamosa and the Cumbres and Toltec railroad. There are several hiking trails nearby, too. The views of Blanca Peak are amazing! The farm house has been upgraded recently and has plenty of space for a 8 people and includes 2 full baths. The kitchen needs some additional accessories and small appliances for a better experience. The owner continues to improve on this new listing. It's a great place to disconnect for a few days.
