"The tower was a very special place to stay right on the top of the hill surrounded by horses in the fields plenty of parking for two cars. Yvonne and Wayne are great hosts. We were there for four nights and felt very relaxed. It was so quiet and cosy. We did need the heater on in the evening but one electric heater was enough to warm the whole place. It was a shame there was no shower but having a bath was also very relaxing. We could lie in bed watching the stars at night and the stunning sunrise over the sea in the morning. If you want to recharge and relax this is definitely the place to stay. We will be going back. Thank you Yvonne and Wayne.B."

"Bigger inside than it looks in the photos. Downstairs has a master bedroom with en-suite, living dinning area and separate kitchen with vast hallway and access to a concreted back garden. Upstairs has two large double bedrooms, a single bedroom and a bathroom. Home has all mod cons and comfortable with good sound proofing. Railway and school at the end of the road and did not hear either. The home is situated close to a shopping centre which is great and the Main Street has lots of lovely shops and super places to eat. The harbour is a ten minute walk away and beaches nearby. Only around 30 mins to Durham where there is a castle and cathedral. Also similar distance to Beamish museum. Overall a good base and ease of access to local facilities. Added bonus of a washing machine. Owner communicated well and no problems encountered. Just needs a few minor adjustments to make it five star."
