Luxury Home in exclusive Sweetgrass gated community 10 mins to Blowing Rock

4 bedroom, 3 full bath modern mountain home on one acre wooded lot in the exclusive Sweetgrass gated community.

Our Blowing Rock home is in an exclusive gated development called Sweetgrass, located next to Julian Price Park off of the Blue Ridge Parkway and 221, just 10 minutes from Blowing Rock. The community offers maintained paved streets, private large stocked lake, free use of canoes, trout stream and hiking trails. The lake is Sweetgrass Lake which feeds into the well known Price Lake and the stream is Boone Fork Creek.

The home is a 2,000 sf, two level modern mountain home with furnishings from West Elm. The home features lots of natural light and contemporary finishes. There are a total of four bedrooms and three baths and the home sleeps 12 in beds comfortably. There are two equal master bedrooms with king beds and equal baths including tile showers, dual vanities, and private toilet room. No more drawing straws for the best room. The third room includes one queen size bed and a twin bunk. The fourth room is a bunk room with two full/twin bunks (two twin beds and two full beds) that sleeps four. The full beds are at the bottom of the bunks and perfect for most adults. Here is a recap of the bed count: Master bedroom 1 = (1) king bed; Master bedroom 2 = (1) king bed; room 3 = (1) queen bed & (2) twin beds in one bunk bed; bunk room 4 = (2) full beds & (2) twin beds in two bunks.

The home has a ton of windows and is a very bright home. There is a wrap around covered deck with a wood-burning fireplace. The interior finishes and furnishings are modern which include shiplap on the walls, wood flooring, cedar beams, kitchen wood shelves, wall & bath sconces, wood floors, etc. Each floor has its own designated AC/heat unit for maximum comfort. The electric fireplace/heater in the family room can be run without heat creating the perfect cozy effects in the summer. There is high speed streaming WiFi and a TV located in the family room with full cable. There are also two additional TV's; one in an upstairs loft with Nintendo Wii and one in the bunk room with an old version of Xbox360. Feel free to have the kids bring their own gaming systems and hook them up. There is a landline phone in the home. The home is very clean and we do not allow smoking or pets.

The home is situated on a one acre lot on a cul-de-sac. It is truly private yet within a very exclusive neighborhood. The lot is wooded with a level yard area perfect and safe for kids to run around and play. There are two ground level patios, one with a barbecue and metal dining table and the other with a fire pit perfect for telling stories and roasting marshmallows. The driveway is asphalt and can easily support four cars.

The property and Sweetgrass community can be found on google maps and on the internet, search Sweetgrass, Blowing Rock and you will find the community website with great images of the lake. There is a gate code, that will be provided prior to check-in. As a guest you will have full access to canoes and the lake. Please note that the Lakehouse is for homeowners only and the community quite times are 10:00 PM to 8:00 AM. This is truly a private lake experience and peaceful environment and we ask that all guests respect the community rules while you enjoy the amazing lake amenities.

Home improvements which are pending new photography: All wood flooring (no carpet), new fire pit chairs, new patio table, artwork throughout the home. Pictures are pending. We had a lapse in rental for the 2022 year as we made some improvements and enjoyed the home for our own use, this is why we do not have reviews during this time.
