Bear Watch - Blue Ridge

  • Gather the fur babies and loved ones and be ready to experience nature like never before at Bear Watch in Cherry Log, GA. 

    This 2 bedroom cabin is only a short 15 minute drive to downtown Blue Ridge or Ellijay. You can spend your days hiking the wooded terrain, but be aware that Bear Watch didn't receive the name due to deer or turkeys, however you will see those too. Make the short drive South to Ellijay, the apple capital of GA or North to Mericer Orchards and spend the day picking strawberries, apples, and blueberries depending on the seasons. 

    This cabin features 2 Master suites with King beds and full baths on opposite ends of the home. There is a fireplace in the living room to enjoy cozy nights by the fire as you sip your cocoa and catch up on the days events. Relax in the four seater hot tub on the front deck and soothe those sore muscles then dry by the outdoor fireplace before turning in for the night. 

    This cabin is the perfect couples retreat or even a besties refresher after a long week at work. 

    Bear Watch is a bear neccessity for a beary needed getaway today!

Absolutely loved our stay! Check in and checkout were both really simple. The rooms were super clean and I loved that there was shampoo and body wash in the bathrooms. It was incredibly peaceful on both the back porch and the front porch in the hot tub. Use of all the amenities was very straight forward and plenty of towels were provided. Don't forget coffee filters like we did, but we were pretty close to town so we were able to get our coffee just fine. My one suggestion for future guests is to bring a feather duster for the outside. Being in the middle of the woods you'll get fresh spider webs every night, but that's not something anyone has control over. The inside of the cabin was immaculate and super cozy. It was the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway. I would've stayed for another week of I could!

Great getaway.

Great experience with peace and quiet that was much needed. The hot tub was a welcome sight after days of hiking.

Long Weekend

Lovely cabin, well furnished with comfy beds and good location between Ellijay and Blue Ridge. (Daughter was playing softball in both towns). Road to cabin a little rough in spots, but easily passable if you slow down and drive carefully.

Wonderful Trip

We really enjoyed the cozy cabin!! The view was gorgeous and the cabin had all the amminities we needed. Much needed getaway we will be back!

Great Getaway

This cabin was perfect for our family of 4 (it would also be great for two couples). Two master suites on either sides of the main living room/kitchen. Two great decks/outdoor spaces, indoor and outdoor fireplaces, hot tub, comfy beds and couch and nice showers. All you need for a relaxing escape. Five stars!

Great little cabin!

We had a wonderful stay. The cabin was very cozy and well equipped with all the amenities as well as extra blankets and plenty of cooking utensils. Nice and private even though there are other cabins in the area. We enjoyed our hiking and activities in the blue ridge area and enjoyed our evenings cuddled by the indoor fireplace. We also enjoyed the hot tub. The only part we didn’t love was the drive up and down the mountain to get to the cabin but by the end of the trip we were much more comfortable with the drive. I would recommend have 4x4 which we didn’t. But overall we loved our stay!

Great getaway in the mountains.

Enjoyed spending some holiday time at Bear Watch. Nice cabin, and well laid out. The two king-sized beds helped take care of everybody's sleeping needs. Lots of amenities, and loved time on the porches as well as in the hot tub. Lovely cabin, we would stay there again!

Apple Trip # ???

We have an annual tradition of visiting this area during apple season. We had a great time and really enjoyed the Bear Watch Cabin. It is cozy but roomy enough for two adult friends who want separate bedrooms and separate baths. We explored during the day and read on the porch in the afternoon and inside during the evening hours. BTW:" Waze found the cabin perfectly from Ellijay and from Maxwell Road.

Perfect for a short getaway

The cabin was really cute and clean. We really enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch and just feeling cozy. 😀
