A solid choice
Our family of 4 stayed in the cabin for 3 nights. There were some cleanliness issues, the living room floor had a large sticky spot where it looked like someone has spilled a soda and just let it dry. It was an easy enough clean up but not what I would expect. The porch areas could have used a sweeping or cleaning up and while I understand that this was a pet friendly cabin (we did not have pets) there was more pet hair in the cabin than I would have expected. The only other thing that was a little annoying was as soon as we walked in, a fire alarm was beeping due to a dead battery. We called the management company and they told us where to find batteries but there were none to replace the dead one. We were told to disconnect the alarm and they would send someone out the next day but never did.The kitchen was well appointed, the WiFi and cable services worked great. The beds were comfortable and the gas fireplace In the living room worked perfectly. Our kids thoroughly enjoyed the bottom floor with pool table, dart board, large couch and big screen tv. All in all the property is a solid choice for a family and we enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed our stay. It was close to downtown. The king bed in the master is very comfy, it seems they put a nice thick padding on top of the mattress. My only negative is the downstairs fireplace wasn’t working and we wanted to play pool, but it was 20° outside and it was too cold. A little disappointing and also the TV in the living room suddenly stopped working. Thankfully we had our laptop. Also I was made aware that the dishwasher wasn’t working but it was told to me a day before I checked in. I did a lot of hand washing, again not a big deal but inconvenient. However the property itself is very nice and I’m sure in the Summer it has to be lovely. I would stay again as they are super dog friendly and my babies had a blast. We had no problems getting to the property in our Q7. Just know GPS doesn’t work well and print the directions they give!

Great house, but pricey for what you get
Searched for a house with a hot tub, which is important to us. Found out the day before we arrived (7/1) that the hot tub was broken and hoped to be fixed before we arrived. That was the last we heard about it. I called and emailed twice - asking for a partial refund the second time. I received a response to that on 7/5 with a $150 refund, which was nice. Makes me wonder if any of these hot tubs work - seems to always be an issue. House is nice. There is a leak in the main floor when you shower - noticed that on another review and it hasn't been fixed. The lake view is non-existent in the summer - another disappointment. If the sound works on the best TV in the house, we couldn't figure it out. Spent most of our time on the covered patio where it feels like you're in a treehouse. Great house, relaxing vacation, but a little better service and a hot tub that works would have been nice.

Could Be Better for the Price
This house was just 'ok'. There were broken items throughout, including window blinds, the pool table pockets were tied through, broken have darts. There was not 1 crumb of condiments either! On top of a mountain, you'd think they works provide at a minimum, salt and pepper, but there was nothing at all. We had to purchase ourselves. The outside fireplace was nice but the mantle and everything on it were absolutely filthy with from and cobwebs. Kinda gross. The king bed was not comfortable as it sunk in the middle terribly and with 2 adults, we kept rolling into each other. Also, for a pet friendly rental, there was nothing provided for pets: no towels, bowls, etc. also the lot itself has no where except about 6'X6' space to even take them out. The driveway was straight up and we couldn't take them up and down that 2-3 times a day. Would not recommend if you have dogs. The house needs a good bit of maintenance work inside and out
This is a great cabin! The outdoor fireplace/porch was so relaxing. We fit 5 in the hot tub (a bit snug, but it worked). There is a bedroom on each level. The Master and basement beds were a bit firm for us (for such a nice cabin, I'm surprised the beds are not upgraded). The master sheet had a hole in it. The Master bedroom is very spacious. All showers worked good. Although when someone showers in the main level shower, there is a small drip leak in the ceiling of the basement bathroom. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes and pots and pans. There are no spices or cooking oils....make sure to bring your own. We did use the outdoor grill which was great. We had a bit of an issue with the gravel driveway each day, but we learned that you had to go with some speed from the very bottom. The mid section was soft and not well packed, so it's easy to get stuck. Again, for a luxury cabin, I'm surprised they don't invest and correct this issue. We hung out in the basement area more as the furniture is more comfortable. The location is great....only a few miles from town. This cabin is also in a gated section, so it felt very safe. Our family really enjoyed our stay here and it is dog friendly!!!
We just realized we hadn’t left a review for our stay several months ago, but wanted to make sure we did. This is a fabulous cabin in a beautiful location. We loved it and would recommend to anyone! Everything was perfect!
The property is beautiful! Lots of space and high end finishes. The kitchen appliances are the stuff of envy. The sunrise and lake views are stunning, but we got to enjoy them when there weren’t any leaves on the trees.
Here are my tips for your stay, they aren’t complaints just a friendly heads up:
-The king bed in the primary bedroom is not comfortable. It’s an old, saggy inner-spring mattress that seems out of place with the details of the rest of the home. Luckily there were just two of us and I found that the lowest level bedroom had the best bed.
-The kitchen is well appointed with everything you need to cook and serve, but bring everything you need for your recipes. There were absolutely no spices/oils/flour in the house. Luckily we always pack for that contingency, but there wasn’t even salt and pepper. There was a spice rack above the microwave but any commonly used jar was empty. It has a 12-cup drip coffee maker, so bring ground coffee and filters if that is part of your morning routine.
We have been to Blue Ridge multiple times and stayed in some lovely rentals. This one is a contender for our favorite… once the mattress is replaced.
Overall a nice place to stay. People need to be aware that the gravel road to this place is narrow and steep at times. We had rain, so our truck spun out here and there. The view of the mountains was blocked by trees, so that was a disappointment. Kitchen was well stocked and the outdoor fireplace was used daily.
