Beautiful View

Beautiful property with stunning views. Game room and hot were great activities. Outdoor areas were great. Really close to Blue Ridge with great shopping and restaurants. Highly recommend Toccoa River restaurant. Great view and the food is very good.

Fall Break

What a beautiful place to spend a fall break! We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the deck with coffee. It was a little treacherous getting there in the dark, but you do not have to have a 4-wwheel drive.

Quick Family Getaway

The cabin was beautiful and peaceful! The game room was the best feature of this cabin! Loved that we were just far enough away from people, but knew there were neighbors close by. The cabin had everything you need, without having to eat out every day/night like at a hotel.

Short Blue Ridge Vaca

Our stay at Blue Horizon was great. It’s a very nice property even though it’s very remote so be ready for quite a drive from Blue Ridge. We opted to eat in at night because of the 25-30 drive from town but that was fine with us. If you would love a spa day, I suggest checking out Serenity Spa. It was fabulous. Enjoy your stay and I would definitely stay at Blue Horizon again.

Great private cabin with beautiful view

This property was excellent. My family really enjoyed hanging out in the game room, and I enjoyed sitting on the porch and enjoying the view. It had everything we needed and was close to Elijay and Blue Ridge for dining and shopping. We would definitely come back.

View was amazing. Check in process was very seamless and easy. Recommendations on things to do was very helpful. Only thing that was a little difficult was the driveway being so steep and a few updates needed to the bathtub/blinds.

We had a lovely time in this cabin. The view was beautiful, everything worked, and all the kitchen stuff you needed was in good shape. The area was pretty and in the middle of most neighboring cities. Some things that could have been better were the master bed in the loft, which had springs you could feel when lying down, and there were no TVs in the bedrooms either. The main couch could be updated, but it's not a big deal. The driveway was tricky as well. Otherwise, great cabin and hope the suggestions made will be heard.

Top of the mountain

The property was very nice and comfortable. We had a wonderful time sitting on the deck and enjoying the view which was awesome. The property was well equipped and we had everything we needed. The only drawback was the long drive up and down the mountain.

Great stay

The property and home were very well kept and clean. The game room and family room were spacious and well appointed. The view was beautiful. The only drawback for the whole property would be mattresses in the Master and main floor bedrooms. They were super uncomfortable and in need of replacement. All in all we had a great stay and would stay here again.

Blue Ridge get away

We did not stay here. A storm knocked out the water and we were rehoused at a different cabin. So disappointed! Was really looking forward to staying at this cabin.

Our week getaway

The views were spectacular, but there are a few things that could have made the price more desirable. The couch is old and uncomfortable, but the recliner is comfortable. The bed is uncomfortable. The water pressure in the loft master bathroom was terrible. The fireplace never did work. The hot tub was greay, but they could use a screen of some sort on the one section where the hot tub faces the mountain. Every evening the sun is blinding you in your face. The cabin was equipped with everything you need to cook,l, but make sure you bring your coffee ans filters( we left the pack we bought for others to use

Awesome property!

This property was everything we hoped it would be! It had plenty of space for our family to spread out, pool table, hot tub, deck with a view of the mountains, and decorated well to give you that nice cabin feel. It’s in a gated neighborhood and with privacy from other houses. We spent some time on the nearby Toccoa River too. Will definitely come back! (The only criticism was lack of response from the property mgmt phone number when we needed help, but I credit them for owning it and committing to doing better.)

Spacious Cabin with Incredible View

This place had everything we wanted for a secluded getaway. Full kitchen, amazing porch with view, game room and a hot tub. About 20-30mins from Dwtn Blue Ridge. A little disappointed we couldn’t get the grill to work, though. Also, make sure to follow directions from rental company. The HomeAway listing is misleading, the map shows it near Ellijay and there is an identical street name there. But it’s actually located in Cherry Log which is about 45mins from Ellijay.

What an amazing property

My new wife and I saw the property online and knew it must be too good to be true. However, we were so pleasantly shocked to see the property in person. The property was stunning. The views magnificent. The attention to detail was perfect. The property is quite a distance from civilization, which was perfect for our trip. 30 minutes to get back into town for any activities you might want to venture to. On our drive to the cabin, we saw deer and other wildlife every day. We could not have been more pleased with our choice. The pictures in the listing do not do the property justice. It is fantastic. We will likely stay here again in the fall or spring. Amazing property.

Has potential if....

The cabin is very nice. The game room was fun & we enjoyed spending some great family time together. However, there were a few issues that we felt were pretty imp to mention/share. The drive to get up to the cabin is VERY steep (the listing should include this) & a sharp 3 pt turn is req in order to leave the driveway (there is a sign on the drive stating this). The roads became icy from the flurries (very minimal but still enough to make things slippery). A minivan isn't the best vehicle to have for this kind of area which we wish had been disclosed, but apparently they aren't allowed to inc that. The other issue we had was the cleanliness. There were dishes in the cabinets w/food on them, stains on the throw pillows (no one wants to lay on someone elses sweat stains!!). There were holes in the bedding, wet bedding left in the dryer from prev renters/cleaning crew, which caused the place to stink. Carpet downstairs stunk (bought a plug in). There were a few other things but when we got bk from the trip I contacted vrbo to let them know of the issues & they were very quick to reply & very receptive to listen to the issues we had.I have pics but they sd they didn't need them. Hopefully they can fix these things bc it really can be a nice place to stay. A bit of advice, there isn't a grocery store close by, stop at a store while in town (25-30 mins away from cabin). For the amt of $ we pd it was frustrating to have exp these issues, esp with the cleaning fees that are req.

Beautifully Rejuvenating

The cabin's scenery was majestic from the corner view facing the exquisite mountains. Quaint screened in porch where we were each night eating and fellowshipping. It was very spacious for four adults seeking an all inclusive retreat, which granted rejuvenation from our busy lives. This we sincerely encompassed. Hence, it was the goal for our crew. However, a few issues we had - 1) EXPENSIVE fees especially for cleaning. Upon arrival there were spider webs throughout the entire porch, literally dirty dishes in the drawer and half eaten sliced cheese on the bedroom downstairs shelf. THAT WAS DISGUSTING. It was clear that cleaners did basic stocking but not thorough inspections and cleaning itself. 3) Per these issues, we literally took all dishes and washed them in the dishwasher to be safe. 4) Therein lied some of the problem, the dishwasher was not very effective. We then had to wash most by hand for thorough cleaning and sanitizing. So on our first day in the cabin we spent several hours actually detail clearing ourselves. That was frustrating. (Whoever came after us --- you're welcome for the cleaning). Again, for the fees that was assessed for this very service and for us all to come in and then have to do it, we were not happy. 2) Tables in both the kitchen and outside were not comfortable. Unfortunately, they are not adjustable with the exception of two ends chairs but there were four of us. After the first day, we were determined to have a great vacation. So we did.

We loved this cabin and the beautiful views both day and evening. Very secluded and quiet - saw deer from the screened porch. Cabin had everything we needed, was comfortable and clean. Can't wait to stay here again!

Batteries not included

The property was fantastic though not where we thought it would be and although beautiful, was missing a few critical things. Specifically, we thought we had rented in the Ellijay area but ended up in Aska about 24-30 miles further north (my error). The good news is, it was a great place, impeccably clean, in a wonderfully secluded spot and we wouldn't have changed a thing...except...having batteries in the TV remotes. We found things to do in the play room and jacuzzi but TV was unavailable due to someone removing batteries from the remotes...in some cases all the batteries. We were able to gather four for at least one remote but it was a pain and we ended up buying replacements on the third day. All in all, the battery issue was funny in retrospect and it turns out the news hasnt changed much in four days so we didn't miss anything... We recommend the cabin and Aska and no news!
