Great Vacation.

We had an amazing time! The property and house are beautiful. The location had other house around but we still felt like we were the only ones for miles. The morning view of the lake and mountains are spectacular. We were a party of 7 and had plenty of room. The property management company was very attentive and followed up to see if we needed anything.I walked the neighborhood every morning. It's a 2.5 mile loop of nothing but hills. Very safe. My last comment... The driveway is a killer

Great option for modern luxury in Blue Ridge

This is not your typical lodge-like mountain house. Modern aesthetic and high-end finishes plus stunning views make for an amazing option in Blue Ridge!

Best view in blue ridge

We had plans to leave the cabin but there was no point because we were already in paradise. Literally the most breathtaking view that you can stare at for hours on end

Great Experience Overall

Excellent stay! A few issues: Could use ice cube trays to make ice. Hard time turning on TV's. Way too complicated!! Would be nice to have just an ON & OFF button. Never was able to figure out how to turn on TV in master bedroom. Dishwasher never dried dishes, only washed them. When we were leaving, we tried turning on the dishwasher, but it would not turn on!

Poor property management ruins our stay

We had a mediocre experience at this property mainly because of the property management company. The property advertised an electric car charger and when emailing the property management company, they confirmed the charger in writing as well. The property did not have a charger! This created an immediate emergency when we arrived. It impacted our entire trip. They were not able to move us to a property with an actual charger. In addition to this, the house was just plain dirty. The bathrooms in particular were in poor shape - there was visible mold along every edge of the shower and sinks. I don’t think the place had been cleaned well in a very long time. When I contacted the company and VRBO about our charger and cleanliness issues, we didn’t hear back from anyone until the night before we left! They made an offer to clean the evening before we checked out. The customer support is absolutely non-existent. The house itself has beautiful views and is comfortably furnished. The drive to reach the property is not ideal. It is a few miles driving on a very rough gravel road and the property has limited parking. You will be parking in tandem and having to move cars constantly. The house next door is in construction and there was noise associated with this. The worst part was that this property management company cuts corners every where possible. They skimped on every single bare basic amenity - they don’t even provide more than one roll of toilet paper per bathroom. This place cuts corners to a level that just deteriorates the overall experience. This is not a budget property at all, but the amenities were below a motel level. I will not stay in another property managed by Southern Comfort Cabin Rentals.

A wonderful view

Early morning views are amazing. the property is clean and modern. driving up to the property and the driveway itself was a bit challenging, but definitely worth it.
