Perfect long weekend getaway

The property was a perfect long weekend getaway for our family of 4 plus our English Setter. The proximity to Blue Ridge made it easy to pop into town for lunch and shopping. We took advantage of several trails that were within a 15 minute drive. We made good use of the hot tub and outdoor fireplace. Beds were very comfy and the master had a big dog kennel in the master closet that we utilized so we didn’t have to get ours out of the car. We would definitely come back!

this lovely home was so welcoming. when we arrived, the lights were on, the thermostat was set. The owners were thoughtful and gave information regarding things to do in the area and suggested restaurants. We hope to return in the future.

Spring Break 2022

We had a great time at Cubs Cabin! The views were spectacular and the cabin extremely clean and inviting. The only downside is we didn't have access to the hot tub for the first two days of our visit and we're informed of that a couple hours before we got there.

Everything about this stay was amazing! The cabin was beautiful & well stocked with all your cooking needs. Plenty of firewood to enjoy the outdoors on cooler days! Only thing I would change would to update the beds or put a topper on them.

Big house !

We stayed here for a family reunion and the house was perfect for the 4 of us . Nice big house with plenty of room to spread out. The kitchen could have been a little more stocked with Tupperware to avoid using so much plastic . Beds were ok . I personally prefer white linens and bedspreads so you can SEE the clean. Dark bedspreads and pillow shams always grossed me out . However you can tell the owner spent a lot of time on decor and personal touches. Overall I very nice experience. Don’t hesitate on booking this property !

Magnificent home but difficult access road.

Home is an architectural masterpiece, with beautiful wide decks. But the access road is a very winding, very narrow road (barely enough for one car). Not for the faint of heart. One issue is regarding the interior stairs. The layout has a long run with a railing, then there's a 90 degree turn at the bottom of the stair without a railing.We are seniors (in our late-70's and early 80's) and the lack of railings here was problematic. Could also be a concern for small children. Adding railings at the exterior stair would be very helpful. Finally, the exterior stair treads are painted a very dark brown and when walking down, it's very hard to see the steps. I'm a retired Engineer and Building Inspector, so my comments are based on safety concerns.

The property is great. The house has comfortable beds and seating, it was super clean, and the views were wonderful. My husband said the hot tub was cleaner than any other where we have stayed. The porches are completely enclosed so you don’t have to worry about the kids or pups going out a gate and down some stairs. This also means you only have the front door to go out to walk the pup. There is no grassy area for dogs though, just some small areas of mulch, and no trails or walking paths around the house. We walked our dog up and down the gravel road. There are immediate neighbors to the left and right but enough tree coverage that the porch feels private and gives the illusion of being up in the trees like a tree house. The kitchen is large and roomy. Don’t forget your ziploc bags, foil, or storage containers; the kitchen is fully stocked but not one bowl with a lid. Make sure to bring a long lighter if starting a fire or grill. There was a hand mixer, blender, crockpot, baking pans but no muffin pan. The freezer had an ice maker. There are no extra towels, so bring beach towels for the hot tub or any water adventures you plan to do.

61st birthday vacation

Absolutely spectacular location and incredible view. We so enjoyed the outdoor fireplace and used it every evening. Beds were very comfortable. Cabin was exactly as described. Location to town was awesome. I would definitely stay again. Don't hesitate to book!

Great place to be snowed in for the weekend!

Checked weather before arriving and purchased food needed just in case winter storm was as predicted. Planning ahead was key. We had everything we needed for our stay. House was well stocked, warm and inviting. Took some long walks in the snow/ice, met some lovely neighbors who checked that we had enough to stay longer if needed. Sat in the hot tub, took long walks in the snow/ice and enjoyed a perfect long weekend. Would recommend. Escape to Blue Ridge rental co was in touch with us before our arrival and during our stay via text/email. Kept us updated for extended departure times/dates if weather necessitated.

Excellent weekend stay.

The owners went above and beyond to make this a great stay. We had one small hiccup with the hot tub not working when we got there but management was easy to get a hold of and they fixed the problem asap. The home was very clean and very spacious. Everyone in our family asked if we could stay here again soon.

Cub cabin at Blueridge GA

Our family had a wonderful fall break week at the cub cabin with our friends. The town and house were pet friendly. The house supplied a large crate for our dog. The views from the top level deck were amazing. Whether you grilled and had dinner on deck, early morning coffee by fireplace, or a glass of wine looking at the stars, it will take the stresses away. The lower deck had a hammock and hot tub. The basement was a fun game room with a pool table and cute table for board games. I felt the house was close to town and a nice walking trail at the base of mountain. We enjoyed cooking some of our meals in a well stocked kitchen. It was a spacious house for the two families to relax and enjoy each other’s company. Thank you for sharing your cabin!

Overall a good stay

House is very nice, location is great, views are lovely. We got a call the morning of arrival to tell us the hot tub was not working but that repairmen were working on it. It was not operable when we got there, no follow up on repair or communication from the rental agency. It really wasn't a deal breaker for us, but am mentioning because it might be for others.

Weekend Escape

We absolutely LOVED this cabin. The beautiful views from the large windows and back porches/patios were amazing! The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed to cook and dine in. In addition, it is a short drive into downtown Blue Ridge which is the cutest little down with so much to see and do. Great set up for the pups as well. 5 stars all around for this amazing cabin.
