Lakeside Retreat

Our stay here was very nice. The guys enjoyed fishing from the deck and we girls enjoyed sitting in the swing. Location was close to activities we had planned for while on this little get away. Bit of a rough road to reach the cabin, but it is in the mountains, so to be expected.

Great family vacay spot!

We had a great time at this property with our family from FL! The lake is SO beautiful in person and we spent a lot of time out there on the small boat and fishing. Our 6 year old traveler loved the basement movie area and pool table as well! Definitely recommend for family getaways!

Great break away from daily life!!!

A little of a tricky drive to get to the property but it was absolutely beautiful, inside and out (needed a little work but its a cabin in the mountains not gonna be completely perfect) . Reserved to shut down, relax and unwind and it definitely was the place for it! Quiet and amazing wildlife! Would highly recommend!

The place is beautiful and has lots of room, The hot tub was amazing and we enjoyed the pool table. I like the location it’s fair enough away from everyone. Close to downtown blue ridge, and Ellijay. Really good get away to just relax and look over the lake.

Great Stay

It was a great time. Communication with the host was really easy - he answered all our questions promptly and was very helpful which was useful for our preparation for the trip. The cabin itself and the view was beautiful. My family had a blast fishing in the lake and playing in the game room. I definitely recommend this place. We were even lucky enough to see a deer at night.

A quiet location for relaxing

Great getaway

It’s always a sign of a great time when your five year old cries when it’s time to leave. The hot tub was very clean and provided amazing views, the big screen downstairs was easy to use and had access to a bunch of DVDs, there was plenty of wood for a fire in the fire pit, and we got to bring our pup which was the icing on the cake. Scott was one text away when needed. Great stay for our family! We are already planning our return!

Perfect Cabin for a getaway

The lakefront livin' cabin was perfect for us traveling to get away and see nature. Book this if you want to be secluded in the mountains on a lake. We enjoyed playing pool, watching movies and sitting out on the deck nature watching.You're still close to popular locations nearby, we hiked and seen a couple waterfalls and went into Downtown Blue Ridge all within 30 minute drives from the cabin.

Getaway before Christmas

Had a great time heading to the mountains for a few days before Christmas. Scott was very attentive to any questions/concerns that may have come up. Saw lots of deer each day out the back of the driveway. Close access to Elijay and Blue Ridge to shop, get groceries, or eat out. Would definitely visit again.

Relaxing Getaway

Enjoyed being in the mountains on a small lake. Tried fishing but only caught small sun fish. The cabin is as pictured in the listing, very clean, and had plenty of supplies. Mostly enjoyed sitting in rockers on the large porch, reading, enjoying the view, and listening to nature - very peaceful. We saw a group of 5-7 deer near the cabin most days. The host was very quick to answer any questions we had.

Great scenery

This property was beautiful and we really enjoyed the lake. We caught fish everyday! Peddle boat has seen better days and was full of water coming in through the peddles. Wish the kayaks were blown up and ready to use however the pump that was there barely blew up the inflatable tubes so we were not able to use them. Overall, we made some amazing memories in this place and the owner and property manager were quick to respond when contacted.

Cozy cabin get away

We absolutely loved this cabin. The drive onto the mountain to the cabin was a little tricky but a fun little trek. The views were amazing and being able to be on the lake was great. Absolutely beautiful. We enjoyed the fire pit and certainly took advantage of the pool table and hot tub. We did try grilling one night and only half of the grill was working. But the cabin is located in a great spot close to Ellijay and downtown Blue Ridge. We hiked Fall Branch Falls one day. We drove over to Chattanooga, TN (an hour and a half drive) and saw Ruby Falls, Rock City Garden, and Lookout Mountain, all very well worth the drive. We had such a blast and made some great memories. I can't wait to go back!

Only Complaint is Having to Leave

Best cabin we've stayed at since the start of our yearly cabin rental. We went for our anniversary/kind of a grievance getaway and loved every minute. The hot tub was great, but we spent most of the time at the lake fishing/kayaking or at the fire pit with the wood supplied to you by the host! We also wore out the ping pong and pool table, theres always something for someone to do. Love that you guys have dishes and such here and an abundance of towels! Do not listen to any of the bad reviews... there is absolutely nothing to complain about if you're not a sourpuss that gets handed everything you want. Thank you for letting us stay at this amazing cabin!

Absolutely amazing cabin in the perfect location.

The directions sent to us were so easy to follow with no problems. Upon arriving the beauty of the cabin and lake was exceptional. The cabin was clean and appropriately stocked. We had everything we needed to be able to cook and grill the entire time we were there.. Although it would have been helpful to have a flat baking pan to cook biscuits on we made do with a muffin pan.. The beds were so comfortable. We enjoyed playing pool and ping pong. The theater room was great with a good selection of movies. The hot tub was a big hit, clean and on when we arrived...ready to go. We enjoyed the paddle boat a lot. Fishing was enjoyable, however, the rods and reels could do with a little maintenance because only two were usable. We made smores at the firepit. Plenty of wood was available. My family and I really enjoyed relaxing and spending time together at this peaceful,  beautiful location with lots of wonderful amenities. We loved it so much we didn't even go to town the entire time we were there. I would definitely recommend this cabin for a peaceful and fun family getaway.

Not clean at all

When we checked in the hot was filthy. They had to send someone to drain it, clean it, and refill it with chemicals this time. The peddle boat was half the size of the one in the listing and was filled with water and was filthy. The lake was more of a pond but was still gorgeous. Coffee pot had mold inside of it, dish washer was dirty, and there was a lot of dust under the bed as well as a spoon. 9:30 in the morning on the day of check out we get a knock on the door about redoing the pool table top, they were told no one was there. So instead of relaxing for the end of our trip we felt rushed due to someone waiting for us to leave. All in all for what it cost we'll stay else where next time.

Good location, dirty

The location is really wonderful. The turquoise pond is beautiful to look at and there's a little bit of a mountain view. We enjoyed seeing a bobcat walking along a lot as well! Unfortunately, I'm not sure the cabin was cleaned before we arrived. Some of the beds had no sheets on them, and the king bed had sheets, but they appeared and smelled to be dirty, we had to do laundry in order to go bed. We had to go looking for towels, as there were none in the the bathrooms or bedrooms, we found some tossed under a sink, and load of wet ones that had been placed in the dryer, but not dried. There were no bags for the bathroom trash bins, and there appeared to be mold or mildew growing along the bottom of the basement bathroom wall. There were dirty pans in the kitchen sink, and when we went to use the coffee maker we found it sitting a puddle of spilled coffee and old water sitting in the tank with dead flies (there was a bit of a fruit fly issue). Outside, the paddle boat was half sunk into the pond and the hammock was covered in grime. We had to launder the hammock before it could be used. We appreciated that there was firewood provided for the pit and that the hot tub was clean but not over-chlorinated.

Time for a little TLC but great location and views!

This view and deck are unbeatable and absolutely stunning!!! We enjoyed just relaxing on the rocking chairs and swings as well as barbecuing with our family. This is a lovely little escape and very different than our day to day hustle and bustle. Some things to improve on: As a pet friendly property some minimal cleaning supplies would be great so guests can help maintain cleanliness and lessen work for your cleaning crew. Not having hot water in the kitchen sink was a challenge. Especially because you’re not going out much and cleaning a dirty pan with any grease on it with freezing water is just not ideal. On top of it a dirty old sponge was left for dish washing which is kind of gross and not hygienic. Leaving a new sponge for each guests would be nice or if not more than one packet of dishwasher soap to not have to hand wash everything. I communicated these things to the property manager and was told that the dollar store was near by. We stayed nearly a week and traveled with our infant twins and dogs, so running to the store isn’t so easy. A cleaning spray and more than one paper towel roll should be provided at a minimum. Hot water was noted in a previous review and they should’ve had time to fix it before we arrived but they said no plumber was available during our stay. Other than that, the location is excellent. 15 minutes to downtown blue ridge and 1hr 14 min to Helen, GA. Once they clean up and do some maintenance, this is definitely a 5 star stay!

Nice stay, but could use TLC

First, the location is absolutely beautiful!! Amazing view! Five stars for that. The road to get there is not all paved so I would worry about taking a small car, especially in the winter or rain. Check-in was easy. Housekeeping forgot to unlock the third room (which was paid for) and one sink in the master didn't work, but a call to property management and we got that sorted out. The cabin definitely could use some TLC - siding falling off, unattached baseboards, dusty. I took it in stride because it's a cabin in the woods, but my parents were less enthusiastic. A deep clean would go a long way and making sure beds have mattress pads, etc. The hot water in the kitchen didn't work, however, the owner was able to get someone out to fix it the day before Thanksgiving so major kudos for that. It appeared there were lights on the outside of the cabin, but we never figured out how to turn them on, which made walking the dogs at night more difficult. Some of the burners on grill were out. There wasn't firewood when we arrived (luckily we brought some). Again, a call to the owner and they brought a huge stack of wood. Having a fire was wonderful! The kitchen is well-equipped with all the basics but there is limited seating in the living room. We didn't use the fishing equipment, kayaks, or projector so I can't comment on them. The hot tub was hot AND CLEAN so we did use that. The kids liked the pool table and ping-pong table. It was a quick easy drive to Blue Ridge.

Fantastic view, could use TLC

Pure mountain cabin, so ride up and in tight and bumpy as expected, I would have been saddened if it wasn’t- gives cabin feel. Walking the deck to the front door I could feel loose boards underfoot and none of the gates latched smoothly- A problem if we had bigger craftier pet. As we walked in, you could since the amount of dust built up over time- I mean by that, NO spring clean in years, in kitchen, whenever I moved something a bit, found sticky stuff. NO Hot water in kitchen sink- no idea why- property manager wouldn’t return my call. Furnishings were fine, TVs were nice, view of a distant mountain was great. So the basement, playroom, downstairs? Whatever you want to call it was only very short term usable, for me, like 10-15 mins, 0 mins for my wife- her allergies are worse! The downstairs has a humidity, mildew, maybe mold issue- never mentioned on the website. So a dehumidifier in the corner was set at 50%-Blowing as hard as it could all the time- Wasn’t helping. This was troubling since there is a Pool table and I really enjoy shooting the stick. There is also DVD viewing area, but the couch looked broken/sagging. Anyway, No way for us to enjoy those, I used the downstairs as a pathway to Hot Tub that seemed ok. The outside toy area/dock was cluttered with past residents trash, clutter unattended to by staff. Sorry for heavy detail- Just thought it is needed, as I said TLC! Also, Dryer was broken- staff left folded wet towels under sink- Class.
